You guys know I’m high on Pache but that’s not likely a 2019 timeline. I think your best hitter should bat third so I’m pretty hell bent on Albies, Swanson, Freeman, Acuna, Riley, Inciarte next year barring a LF signing and the 2017 Swanson resurfacing. I’d love Acuna second but his K’s really are a concern. I'm liking an Albies, McCutchen, Freeman, Acuna, Riley look at the top for next year!

Ender's heading for the sombrero today...really struggling. It's been noted that he's a slow started...hope he get's it going soon. I know Snit won't do anything rash like juggling the lineup.

I’d love Acuna second but his K’s really are a concern. As far as numbers go, the clean-up hitter gets more RBI opportunities than the #3 hitter. The math says that your 3 best hitters should hit 1-2-4; and your 4th best hitter 3rd. So going by your 4. Albies Freeman Swanson Acuna

I've always thought Freeman should bat cleanup, as all our other top-hitters have speed that would be hindered if they're batting with Freddie standing on first base. Personally, I think Ender is just cold right now, and is probably hyper-sensitive to this bizarre ultra-cold weather we've been having. I agree about giving him a day or two off, especially in Chicago where it's so cold. However, he will inevitably turn it around and still finish around .280-.300 with a .340ish OBP.
1. CF (L) Inciarte 2. 2B (S) Albies 3. RF (R) Acuna 4. 1B (L) Freeman 5. C (R) Suzuki/Flowers 6. LF (L) Tucker 7. SS (R) Swanson 8. 3B (S) Camargo / Flaherty

Who is hitting where doesn't really matter its how they are hitting at a given time. guys are streaking and slumping or hitting singles or showing Power it changes week to week month to month. I have often wondered why a manager has a set lineup instead of riding what is happening at the time. Well, I would say that who is hitting where does matter because if you're smart you'll have your best hitters (the guys who basically streak more than average and slump less than average) hitting at the top of the order, so they'll get more at-bats in the game and throughout the season. It just seems to me that the guy who is swinging the hottest bat at the moment is your best hitter at the moment.like right now Maybe Ender would be better suited to hit 2nd. Now I believe the guy who is slumping the worst should hit 2nd, not 8th. And here is why I think to hit 2nd makes you take more pitches which allows you to see the ball longer. heck even if you play old school and have him but runners over it will allow him to track the ball deeper which will help fix his slump and also it doesn't hurt to have a 3 hitter behind you getting you better pitches. So if it were me I'd have my current hottest hitter leadoff and my slumping guy hit 2nd and those spots would change as slumps and streaks come

www.talkingchop.com/2018/4/12/17223914/ender-inciarte-atlanta-braves-center-field-batting-order-lineup-reality-checkSo we had this discussion back on the old site and it got a wee bit heated at times, but again it is time for a reality check. I will start by saying what the article states and what Nightman pointed out before... This does not mean that Ender is not a valuable player. He has many skills. This is only regarding the hit tool where overall, and all things considered... he’s not much more than league average. Again though... being on base for others to drive in and being able to get in with speed is important. If however, you look at purely what happens at the plate accounting for all things.... Since Ender started wearing a Braves uniform, historically he has been a slow starter. He'll be fine. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk I agree he will probably end batting around .285- .290 again with around 175 hits.

The thing is though, as the hottest bat changes, the best hitters end up being the hottest bat more often. That's why lineups don't change based on who has the hottest bat. Over the length of a season, the better hitters should get more at-bats, because they're the better hitters, and they'll have a hot bat more often. To add, the hottest bat isn't predictive, either when it'll start, or when it'll end.

First of all. Who is James? Second, Ender is our best leadoff man unless you move The Mighty Oz, and with the pop he's showing, he's probably best left alone. My biggest issue with Ender is that he isn't patient enough. He's not hitting right now, but he will. That's Dansby's first name! Since he is getting on base a lot to start the season, I wouldn't mind if he experimented in the leadoff spot while Ender is warming up. Swanson, Albies, Freeman, Acuna, Markakis, Inciarte

I don’t want to risk doing anything with Dansby right now. He’s hittinng where he is, so leave him. If we move him higher it could mess him up.

Will other teams fans chant “James” like they did “Larry?”
I wonder if he was named after Chuck James.
