Does he stay or does he go? Does the championship represent his crowning achievement as he changes uniforms, or is he a Brave for life? Will the organization pony up the dollars to keep him, or will they use these dollars in other areas? My money is on Brave for life...........but you never know.

I will always wish Freddie the best and he owes it to himself to act in the best interest of himself and family.
As for prediction - I hate to be the naysayer again and maybe its the cautious pessimist in me but my gut hunch is someone is going to step up and offer one of those gigantic 8 yr kind of deals in the average value of 30 something mil per.
And, that will be too much for the Braves to choose to match. I know - we all say those deals for a guy in his 30s will stop, GMs have learned this and that but it only takes one to offer that. Do they ever really learn when it comes to making the splash.
My guess is we will be too conservative to match that. Can't say its good or bad business its not my money
I would like to see him for six more yrs here. 5 or 6 yrs would be the right amount of time for a deal
It will be the time and guaranteed $$$$ offer that might tip the scale.
Will never take away his place in Braves history.

I don't think any single player is worth the 8 year/$300 million type deal in baseball. It takes 26 guys to win and one guy can't tip the scales that much no matter how good he is. In football, a great QB can tip the scales that much, and in basketball, one great player can tip the scales that much. In baseball, it's simply not possible. Look at Trout, Harper, Pujols, etc. Hell, look at this postseason. Freeman played well, but it was Soler and Rosario taking home the MVP hardware.
If Freddie wants to break the bank, I'm sure he'll have the opportunity to do so, but that won't be here. FWIW, I don't think he wants to break the bank. He just doesn't seem the type. He's got a great career awaiting him after baseball to do whatever he wants, he's got a beautiful family, and he's got money out the wazoo. What more can a man ask for?

Fred will stay. He’ll probably pass up more money just to stay but I feel they’ll find a way to get it done.

I'm sure Chipper will be honest with him about what staying for less is all about. Hell, the plan might be for Chipper to take over in a couple of years. You know Freddie wouldn't pass on possibly playing for Chipper one day.

If they do not lowball and disrespect him yes, I can see him staying.
I don't get how some teams think some guy is worth those 8 yr 300 mil deals in baseball but some teams just do it why I do not know
It does not seem like good business

I was talking with a guy today and he brought up how Freddie and Chipper are best friends. I would think that would play huge in him staying. He also seems really close with Snitker. He really seems to like playing in Atlanta.

I don't ever wanna hear the "poor-mouth" from this organization again. When that many people are in a stadium watching the team on a video screen, you can't tell me the Braves have to operate on the cheap. I'll never wanna do stupid contracts, but we can afford as much as anybody. Pay Freeman!!

I found a picture of Freddie and his family taken since the World Series. I don't know how the Braves live with themselves when their best player is in a predicament like this. The twins are growing really fast, though!!!

I just drove by him on the corner of Windy Ridge Parkway and Interstate Blvd just north of Truist Park. He was holding a "Will MVP for food" sign.

I heard Fred and his kin are homeless and living under a bridge. He should have managed his money better. I just hope he don't get on the crack. That would be really sad.
