There's no way of knowing if he's pissed, but I'd be willing to bet that he isn't all rainbows, butterflies, and unicorns about the negotiations.

I’m not the least bit worried, Frederick will end up signing with us no matter how long it takes.

I think 6/185 will get it done.
95% confident he re-ups with Atlanta.

It makes too much sense NOT to do it. We just made a lot of money and we can count on making a lot more in the playoffs and World Series over the next 5-6 years. He's a leader on and off the field, and he wants to stay, it will get taken care of. They may end up dragging it out for months over 5-10M or the 5 versus 6 years, depending on offers he gets from other teams, but in the end he will sign with us. You're looking at quite a run coming up for us, he endured the down time without saying a word and I'm sure his heart is in reaping the benefits now that we're going to be legit contenders for 5+ more years. He believed in the process and trusted it and I'm sure he intends to stick with it now that we're as good as we are. I do believe he's a legitimate good guy and things like his teammates matter, the city of Atlanta matters to him, it's just a matter of time. I don't think it will go past Christmas and could be done in the next two weeks, but if it takes longer I won't be worried.

Anything can happen. Plenty of unknown and do not be surprised if this turns disappointing. Is he a good guy? Does he have his heart here for all the right reasons? Does he make us better? Will it hurt to be without him? Great Teammate, etc etc - it all amounts to a resounding yes to all the above I get it might take some time, but when it gets to this point be prepared. I HOPE you are all right and it does not have to get to plan B. Guess I am the only one posting a "Beware of Dog" sign for now.

Westie... you did it again... you posted there is no decent plan B of any sort and then your very next post in the tread is to point out a pretty good plan B.

In the end like everyone else I would rather have Plan A. Who wouldn't I am done with it have had my say - come what may I got what I wanted in 2021 and as for the off season good luck Happy holidays to you and see you in the Spring.

The only Plan B I would be interested in would be moving Riley across and trading for Chapman, and I don't like that Plan B much. I think Fred signs.

We all want plan A for sure. I'm not a big fan of any possible plan B's either, especially if it comes down to 1 single year of contract.

It looks like the poor ole A's are going into talent auction and will auction off anyone making some scratch. Like Olson, it will take prospect capital. They sure will want Pache and a couple of young pitchers for starters. Would another team outbid that - you never know. Pache, Tucker Davidson and another young guy (pitcher) most of yall do not want to give up. And maybe add a throw in like Touki. Chapman like Olson gives you two yrs of control. Per Baseball Reference. Plan A is the best and maybe for Plan B follow Uckery and jump off the edge of the world. Go out on top.

6 years $180M for Freddie is 30M per year, I don't think anyone is going to beat that by enough to entice Freddie to leave.
