Braves sign Strider for 6 years 75 million, with a club option for the 7th year of 22 million.

Pretty cool, but I guess we're just going to go through arbitration years with Fried and Wright?

Pretty cool, but I guess we're just going to go through arbitration years with Fried and Wright? Makes you wonder about Dansby and Fried and Wright, it's already impressive how much Liberty Media is stepping up, it makes it curious what we're going to do with our established stars!

This is interesting. Which one of these stinky deals would you take to get rid of Ozuna? I'm not sure that I wouldn't just want to hold my nose for two more years and let Ozuna ride the bench and occasionally DH than do any of these. Most of these carry just as big a hit money wise for more years. Of all mentioned the Brandon Crawford deal seems to be the best. tomahawktake.com/2022/11/06/atlanta-braves-trade-bad-contract-swaps-marcell-ozuna/

I would pick Crawford too because he's such a good defensive SS and I value that, as do the Braves. He's an average hitter with the 97 career wRC+. He has two years left so he's a perfect bridge to one of the SS's we've drafted or we could sign someone then.
One of the problems with keeping Ozuna as a bench player is that Snitker appears to me to want to play him way more than he should be playing and he'll always be tempted to do that. Or if we have any injuries then once again Ozuna is an every day player. No thanks.

Both Fried and Wright will be sideline at least 2 months?? WTH?? This is why I think they have to trade for a starter that can give them a decent performance every 5 days. I'm not sure I would count on Shuster and Dodd for that.

I'm not sure I would count on Shuster and Dodd for that. Yeah I wouldn't. This is a situation that absolutely needs a solid vet. Doesn't have to be a #1 type guy with the way this offense can score in bunches. But needs to be a solid vet who can perform under some additional pressure with the #1 and #3 guys out for a while. This role can't be entrusted to an unproven rookie with just a handful of starts.

I would go see what is out there right now. We need to keep the momentum going and not go to bad losing streaks. I believe Dodgers past us for best record now?
