I just hope they use some of the money they "saved" to sign a starter and a bat they can stick behind Freddie in the lineup. I don't think I can take a replay of Markakis in the cleanup spot. I think this greatly increases the odds that we're going to sign either Moustakas or Ozuna to be that guy hitting behind Freddie, neither of which excites me. I think we're keeping Donaldson. I haven't felt that way until very recently. I'm probably wrong. |

This fits so well on a tread that supposed to be about the upcoming season. You’re an administrator, aren’t you. Why don’t you move the whining to the appropriate tread at least? I believe there is a Snit must go tread that would work. |

The Nats had 9 players total amass more than 2.0 WAR this past season; 6 above 3.0 WAR. The fact is, most teams have an alarming rate of 1 to 2 WAR players. Ah, well then I find it much easier to accept that we didn’t address the glaring weakness we had at the catchers position! Most teams are weak at catcher so we may as well be too! |

Most teams are weak at catcher so we may as well be too You can have one of the top 2-3 guys at another position but the difference between #1 and #15 is much less than the difference between #1 and #15 at catcher. |
