........and that player who shall not be named was a despicable human being just to top it off. At least bad things happened to him later in life. Good.

It was 8 degrees at my house this morning. If you don't take down that damn picture of a surfer, I'm gonna report you to HMF.

We should have won 2 or 3 more. The number of missed opportunities in the 90's still pisses me off. True.ย The only one that sticks in my craw is 1996.ย Probably because I was at that fateful Game Four where that "never to be mentioned again" PH took Wohlers deep and the Braves blew a 6-0 lead.ย Should have won that game and gone up 3-1 in the Series.ย I can live with 91 and 92 because we were so young and winning was such a new thing to us.ย And 99 - the Yankees were just better.ย But we should have won back to back championships in 95-96 which would have cemented that team as one of the best of all time. Yeah... 96 is the one that really gets me. Most of the other years if not all; you can make a solid argument that the Braves were not the best team in baseball. That year I think we were the best team and we just went and did a Braves thing.

Once the momentum shifted we were done. But I still expected to win several more championships with that group, very disappointing.

Another nad smasher was game 4 of the 2005 series against the Astros. Once we blew the 6-1 lead in the 8th I was 100% we were going to lose, it was just a matter of time.

That Yankee player who goes unnamed.....I was thinking he did jail time, I looked it up, I forgot he had hit and killed a woman while he was driving drunk. Then the conviction was overturned. What a complete piece of crap heโs been.

Well at least it's just for one year. I can't bad mouth that. For one year it's worth taking a shot. I'll root for him, but I know what to expect, this is not the same player he was three years ago, not even close. But it does possibly give us a guy to protect Freddie some and gives Riley/Camargo a year to prove themselves and helps bridge us to Drew Waters, so all in all I'm ok with it. But praise the lord it wasn't for 3-4 years. AA proving to be pretty savvy.
Of course we do lose the pick, but you have to take some chances somewhere, I've always acknowledged that, and for the one year contract this seems like a sensible risk.
