I wonder if the best route now is to work out a trade with Pittsburgh for Marte. I've heard that they are looking for a catcher, so maybe Contreras and a pitcher could get it done. Trade Ender and plug Marte in at CF. Not ideal, but not horrible. RF Acuna 2B Albies 1B Freeman CF Marte LF Markakis / Duvall 3B Camargo / Riley SS Swanson C d'Arnaud Also, the only OF position locked in would be Acuna, so it would leave room for when Pache and/or Waters are ready What do you give up for Marte? I hear they are asking for alot, but they always try to sell high And moving a young catcher, hey, we might need our two catching prospects in a couple of yrs, not sure I want to move either Contreras or Langlers good C prospects are harder to come by than good pitchers even. They do not grow on trees Where is the fit for Ender, once a good player 3 to 4 WAR when healthy which has not been always the last couple of yrs

I'd be willing to throw in a guy like Ynoa if that would make it happen.

I would not kick and scream if that were done, hey you have to give up something to get something and Marte is for two yrs As long as we do not get Puig, never in a thousand yrs. Take the U out of Puig and what do you have?

One last thing, McCann had to have known about the cheating, with the Astros, and said nothing. In my eyes, his legacy is forever tarnished. Are all the players who knew about steroid use, didn't use but did not report it, sullied also? Like the steroid use, this sign stealing thing is overrated, sign stealing has been a part of the game forever Or, sign interpretation is a better word for it. Why its called sign stealing, I don't know its the other team preparing to get an advantage Its called gamesmanship, I hope other teams are treated the same way Also, no one like a snitch - to me Fiers is a snitch, the kind of kid you would put upside down in the waste basket in school when you find out he snitches.

tomahawktake.com/2020/01/15/atlanta-braves-fans-disappointed-alex-anthopoulos/Totally disagree. Didn't invest a lot of money and years in an aging 3B. AA made a wise move. Now, I will say that if he doesn't have a viable Plan B that is more than in-house options, then yes, we can be disappointed. But the ink hasn't even dried on JD's new contract and people like this writer are throwing their hands up and saying the 2020 season is lost. AA will get the best team he can on the field before the start of the season. Of this I'm sure.

To them you have to make the big offseason splash to say you're going for it. pffffffffffftttttt. All writers care about is getting clicks.

I don't see anybody who agrees with the writer, who must be about 12 years old.

That's not exactly true. If badhaircut failed then you insert Riley/Camargo or do whatever else you would do if they were to fail. The money doesn't necessarily "screw" you from any other options. But it’s still a lot of wasted money that could have been used elsewhere on two really good players. Yeah, and I'll sit here patiently waiting to see on whom we spend that $23mm we didn't spend on JD. <taps foot>

Out of all of the ignorant stuff you’ve said this has to be without a doubt the worst. why we are looking for a cleanup hitter marte is not that a 4hitter needs to be capable of 30+ HR marte hit 23 his most in a juiced ball yr. Yes he can steal more bases than PUIG but PUIG has the reputation and power ability that Marte doesn't but I understand marte has the better war. But that is meaningless to me

But yeah if they don't spend it at all at some point it would be pretty silly.
