Well, Riley certainly profiles as a 1st baseman, but I don't like to think about trading Fred.

I don't like the idea of Freddie in another uni but we know who owns this team and the recent practices of the suits in charge Not saying it will happen, but you never know He has only two more yrs left on his deal after this one -- they regress back to say, 78, 79 W and who knows? Interesting read in the AJC this afternoon on the Tim Tucker article.

If all you do is complain, what the hell are you watching for? Do you watch TV shows you don’t like? Do you go to the movies and watch movies you don’t like? Do you read books from authors you don’t like? Yet, here you are watching a team you constantly complain about. It’s certifiably insane.

Love the team, players, manager and coaches and respect the GM
Above that well, enough said
For those who have kids, as much as you love and care for them, what kids do you get on the most when they misbahave and go wrong
Yes, the ones you love and care about

I don't boo my 'effin kids. I encourage them to do better. I talk to them about where the went wrong and how to do better next time.
I don't berate them and call them bums.

Guess that was not the best analogy, of course I would never encourage anyone to Boo their kids and the etc stuff But as fans these are professional athletes, we do not have a personal relationship with them & in the end, when the results are not there Booing and calling them BUMS is not the worst thing to vent -- now, the stupid stuff like throwing things at the stadium and having a profane rant in public that is another thing I do not cuss at the stadium of course. In the end, guess the better way to say it is its human to get mad at the things you care about - and you issue a complaint whether its a community issue or something similar about things you care about

I think the future is super bright. I see no spot except maybe closer where we need a upgrade. Signing JD was the right move if he returns to MVP form fantastic if he does not Riley is ready. I would however love for AA to move JT, Gaus, and Newc in trades. I am ready to see the kids pitch. But it will work its way out. Waters and CP and Acuna is going to be the best Of in baseball maybe by 2020.so there was no need to sign anyone to a multi yr deal to play OF. 2020 is going to be awesome

It's a novel idea. One that I've been talking about all off-season.

Amazing Nightman, I mean these guys see how close we are after a very successful camp with the prospects and they change their tune. Thank god AA has enough of spine to avoid catering to these idiots.

But long term success depends on first, health (got to take care of our guys) and secondly, how far will the suits allow us to have long term success. Remember that Newk is a kid too. Got some more yrs under team control. Folty being healthy is a must and who is to say that JT might have a real good yr this time around. You just do not want to keep building and rebuilding. What I like about the JD move is that it was for only one yr

The braves could have 3 legit chance 30 homer guys. I don’t think any other NL East team can say that.

He has 71 HRS the last 3 yrs Or, they could get a HR breakout yr from Herrera who hit 22 last yr. Of course that does not take away from our offense. There is not a real empty hole there - you may make a case for Dansby being the weak link - I think if he gets the OPS to 750 with his D that is acceptable He did OPS 699 and had 14/59 last yr so there was some improvement. Crucial yr for him though

I like that better, but who will be the 6 20 + guys Do you really see Ozzie as a perennial 20 HR man - I would be happy with 12 -15 HRS and a 50 point improvement in OPS We sure are not getting 20 HRS from Ender, Nick, and unlikely Dansby The catching spot might get 20 combined from Mac and Flowers Johan might if he gets enough PT & JD being healthy is a must

Not likely, but possible. I'm not high on Dansby's chances, but I wouldn't rule him out if he did get his act together. He had a putrid season with the bat last year and still hit 14.
Riley is a long shot because he doesn't look ready yet, but I wouldn't rule him out in case someone got hurt and he was tearing it up in AAA, he could come up and hit a lot of HRs. He's going to be a HR hitter at some point.
There's an outside chance McCann and Flowers could combine for 20. It should be a balanced attack power wise.
