Question: How many incidents like that has Freddie Freeman been involved in? Markakis? Face it, man, Machado is a dick.......and that ain't likely to change. His ability is NOT the reason he hasn't signed yet. If the Braves sign him, I'll root like crazy for him (after I eat my hat). Nonetheless, he comes with tremendous risk from a team chemistry standpoint. I don't think there's any doubt about that. Hell, the Yankees have TONS of cash, and need a SS/3B. They've taken a flyer on Tulo rather than sign him. Doesn't that tell you anything?

Not that I really want him either, but has Harper fallen off of the face of the earth? I haven't heard squat about him since his meeting in Vegas with the Phillies.
Personally, and I know it would NEVER happen, I would love to see both of these prima donnas get passed over because of their outrageous contract demands. Would be hilarious if neither was on a team come Opening Day.

But as you said, if hes a Brave i will root for him. i also would prefer they signed him if it was $27 mil or less. And not 10 years.

I don't care for him but he's a good player and I could get over it if he helped the Brave to a WS..

I have a worst case scenario for you Machado haters. What if the Marlins report from a month ago of Albies being the main piece from us for JTR is correct.? What if the 70% is Albies and the 30% is we are not willing to come off of Anderson with him? Then the braves go get Machado and move Swanson to 2nd.

The thing about the opt out is the player is always the only one who gets the opt out, and they’re never going to use it.

If the 70% of that trade is a current roster player I’d bet on it being Camargo with a really slight chance of it being Dansby.

The Orioles tied themselves to that for awhile... didn't work out.. didn't renew. The Dodgers added him thinking that WAR would put them over the hump... didn't work out and it seems they are moving in a different direction. Just to clarify.... made multiple mistakes.. apologized more than once. At what point does one see a pattern? You assume two things, one, that the orioles had a chance of resigning him (remember, he also has to want to play there) and two, they traded him because he’s not a winner. You have to really stretch to come to those conclusions. As for apologizing and a pattern, I’m sorry, but I’m not gonna completely write a guy off for making mistakes, unless said player cheats the game, and Machado hasn’t cheated the game. Seriously, I just don’t get the hate on this guy. I'm not sorry for not liking who I don't like. I get that you don't get it, but you don't get the dislike for Bryce Harper either yet both of these guys make a lot.. a LOT of people's dooshnozzle lists. It's not like these are just two random guys that I alone have singled out for disdain.

Yeah, they're such douchebags that not only have they not signed, there are hardly any rumors about their possible signings. On a positive note, he would put the Braves in the running for having the ugliest player in baseball.

How many Gnats players and coaches or Orioles or Dodgers players and coaches have stepped up and said you know what, despite what people think, Bryce (or Manny) are really good teammates and we really enjoy playing baseball with them every day, this team has great chemistry because of these guys.
