He would have to be so cheap that cutting him for being a cancer in the clubhouse costs us nothing.

It sounds like the Cardinals would give him up for nothing and pay a huge portion of his remaining salary. I really don’t want him, but it would make sense if we still added someone like Cutch also and used Fowler sparingly I mean he’s better than Lane Adams. One problem of not using him as a starter, when he got benched last year for lack of hustle and lack of performance, he bitched about it and came up with a few suspect injuries. If he goes to another backup role it’s possible we’ll have the disgruntled distraction the Cardinals want to be rid of.

I’d definitely prefer to pass on Fowler.

I'm sure AA is doing his due diligence, which he should.

I think we can fix all our problems with bringing back 2 former Braves Melvin Upton and Shelby Miller. 😉

lol, somebody has sure changed their tune! He was really impressive defensively this year, but he didn't even get honorable mention for the GG award.

I’m still not a huge fan of his game, but his hustle Atleast is worth taking a flyer on. He’s more valuable to ATL than he is to anyone else.

I’m still not a huge fan of his game, but his hustle Atleast is worth taking a flyer on. He’s more valuable to ATL than he is to anyone else. I really give him huge credit with his defense, but his bat has a long way to go. He has been the 5th worst hitter in all of baseball over the last two years. I don't think his glove makes up for that all the way. He needs to come around with the bat, and so far I've seen nothing to make me think he's going to be able to do that.

He was hitting well to start the season last year. I'm hoping the wrist is largely to blame for his tailing off.......but I'm not holding my breath on that.

JT to the cubs for Heyward and a BOAT of cash. Yeah, about $15 million per for each year remaining on that albatross contract, then flip him and a prospect to the snakes for Greinke, Peralta, and whatever portion of Greinke's deal you can get them to eat. The $15 per makes Greinke's contract palatable to the Braves, we get our ace and corner OF, and the snakes get salary relief and a soon-to-be-30-year-old Heyward with A TON OF POTENTIAL.......LMAO. Of all the moves the Braves made, picking Freeman over Heyward may be the best of the bunch.
