Grossman has hit .280/.796 OPS against LHPs for his career. Not great but certainly better than what we have now. This year he is hitting .364 with a .990 OPS against lefties. He's hitting .302/.828 OPS against LHP starters. Sounds like a good option off the bench against LHP relievers too. Actually that .302 against left handed starters is misleading. The way that stat works is he is batting .302/.828 when a left hander started the game. That stat includes the entire games results including when he has faced relief pitchers which may be left or right handed. Vs left handers be they starter or reliever, its .364/.990 |

Kirby Yates has been activated from the 60 day DL and the Braves also selected the contract of top prospect Vaughn Grissom.
To free up a spot on the 40 man roster, Mike Ford was activated from the 10 day DL and then DFA'd.
Orlando Arcia was added to the 10 day DL with a hamstring pull, and Huascar Ynoa was optioned to Triple-A to make room on
the big league roster.

I guess .130 hitters don't get to hang around the big leagues. Unless they're getting paid $16M.

The #Braves today recalled RHP Freddy Tarnok to Atlanta and selected INF Ryan Goins to the major league roster. In order to make room on the roster, the club placed C Chadwick Tromp on the 10-day injured list, backdated to August 14, with a strained left quadricep.
The club also designated LHP Daniel Young for assignment after optioning him to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game.

Remember Travis Demiritte? He hit like .290 at Gwinnett last year, .940 OPS and 146 wRC+. After going back to Gwinnett this year he’s hitting .210 with a .680 OPS and 73 wRC+.
Pretty unreal.
