Very happy to report that after the Braves scored a run the PA played the Chop music. They are not taking the music away - that is the fan experience at the neighborhood in the Battery I cannot bring my self to use the new name cause that name stinks so for me I will post using Battery references The few can make a big deal all they want but in the end its the fan experience that will win out - and no one in Georgia wants someone from the outside telling us what to do, especially some scrub relief pitcher on the MOST HATED Cardinals Well, that is the team we should hate the most even more than other past rivalries due to recent history - the WC game is more bitter to me than game 5

I’ve remained encouraged because he struggled at every level then figured it out big time. This is a different level but I still believe he can be a beast. I agree. The risk is that he doesn't figure it out this year, obliterating his trade value and leaving us without a big bopper at 3rd. I like Camargo, which is well documented, but I guess I'm old school enough to want that traditional big bat at 3rd base. At some point, we need to decide what to do with Camargo. If Riley, Waters, and Pache were to all pan out (highly unlikely, in reality), he'll have nowhere to play, and we've already seen that Snit can't handle a super-utility situation properly. it' simple when Swanson hits . 220 again you bench him and give Camargo Short

If Dansby hits for a career low average, 25 points lower than his career average then have at it.. I mean as long as Camargo is hitting better and isn't killing you on defense.

He won’t be as good as Dansby there, but better than what he showed last year. Dansby also wasn’t that good defensively last year. But Dansby ain’t sittin’ on no bench. He’ll get two more years as the starter even if he flops. Long leash for the face of the franchise. Or hair of the franchise. Lots of kids wear his jersey and that’s important.

Dansby was .204/.315/.254/.569 in 142 ABs after the All Star break last year and didn't see any bench time.
Some guys can go .235/.269/.366/.635 in 153 ABs and get raked over the coals and sent to the minor leagues, lol......

Dansby is certainly given more leeway at the plate.

Atlanta Braves revenue hits record $476M in 2019The Atlanta Braves may be cautious when it comes to free agency spending, but it’s not because they don't have the money.
Parent company Liberty Media reported on Wednesday that the Braves finished out 2019 with a record $476 million in total revenue, which is up 8% from 2018 when they brought in $442 million.
The Braves earned $438 million in baseball revenue last year with the other $38 million coming from development revenue. While the development revenue remained flat over a year, the $438 million in baseball revenue is an 8% increase from the $404 million the team earned in 2018.
Baseball revenue is comprised of ballpark operations, shared MLB revenue streams, local and national broadcast rights, according to Liberty Media. Development revenue stems from the Battery Atlanta’s mixed-use facilities and primarily includes income from its rental properties.
The fourth quarter is usually a low-revenue period but not for playoff teams. The Braves’ baseball revenue in the fourth quarter saw a slight boost thanks to the team hosting three National League Division Series games at Truist Park, instead of two like they did in 2018.
Liberty Media reported that the Braves took home $34 million in total revenue during the fourth quarter last year (including $23 million in baseball revenue). That’s up 6% from the $32 million made in the same quarter in 2018. Development revenue did see a slight jump from $10 million to $11 million during that same timeframe thanks to an increase in retail tenant rental income, according to the company. It was projected that the Braves would break the previous record after reeling in $212 million in the third quarter alone. Liberty Media attributes the strong turnout from Braves' fans as one of the reasons for the increase in revenue as they finished the season with over 2.6 million in attendance.

David O'Brien @dobrienatl 6-foot-6 behemoth Bryce Ball crushed that one, homer on a shin-high pitch. Think some teams are gonna regret passing on him all the way to #Braves in 24th round?
