You’re being pessimistic. It’s a Braves game, played at the Braves ST facility. If they weren’t going to highlight the chop this year, they wouldn’t have played the music to get fans to do it. The Barves don't own that facility do they? They lease it, right? I would assume if that's true then they don't really control much of what happens and doesn't happen. I recall a lot of local money went into that place, I imagine if the Braves asked them to not play the chop music the response would be to piss off. The people who put the money up want that place to thrive, and the chop being stopped could be an issue. C’mon, if the Braves didn’t want the music, the music wouldn’t have been played. Let’s be real.

South, if he's still alive, is going to be devastated. He idolized her! I liked Kelsey. Don't know why they got rid of her, but Byrd should go, too. I'm positive I'll like the new girl, though. She looks like she knows baseball, especially the catcher position, judging by her backstop!

Let’s be real. Well you can say that all you want, if they don't own the facility I don't think they necessarily control something like that. I'm sure they'd like to and would say so but that doesn't make it happen. I really think it's 100% conjecture either way and I'm not going to comment on it anymore, we're just all stating our opinions. I could be wrong, I'm just saying I don't think it's a given that the Braves have a say in the chop song being played there. Maybe they do. pffffffttttt.

The Braves don’t control the music during their games? I have a feeling they’d have a problem with that.

Thought I'd put this here to squash the whole thing...
The Braves committed a 30-year lease, annual payments to West Villages, and at a minimum the first $18 million in the cost of the complex. On January 16, 2020, the Braves announced that their High-A affiliate, the Florida Fire Frogs of the Florida State League, would call CoolToday Park their home for the 2020 season.
So, the Braves lease the stadium, which means whatever happens during games is completely controlled by the Braves, including music.

I don't know what they HELL the Braves are thinking if it was their decision. I mean I'd understand if someone would have taken her away for more money, I even made a post that would happen eventually. This is something I wasn't ready for, we need nightman to make another petition.

Paid a pretty penny, but I got mlb.tv and I get to watch their first ST game! Excited!!! Got my MLB.tv and forgot I had it. I signed up for auto renewal last year and apparently it doesn't end with the end of the season. Turned on the ST game yesterday and there it was. Yeehaa fo a great season, I hope.

Here's hoping the changes work for him. Riley obviously works hard. This is what I like to hear, and it's a very good sign that he will improve. If he doesn't, well, at least he gave it his best. That's all anybody can do.

The risk is that he doesn't figure it out this year, obliterating his trade value and leaving us without a big bopper at 3rd. I like Camargo, which is well documented, but I guess I'm old school enough to want that traditional big bat at 3rd base. At some point, we need to decide what to do with Camargo. If Riley, Waters, and Pache were to all pan out (highly unlikely, in reality), he'll have nowhere to play, and we've already seen that Snit can't handle a super-utility situation properly.

It's been clear since the day we signed JD that we have no long term plans for Camargo, and the ultimate aggravation for me there is they should have dealt him when they signed JD. His value was at a peak then. I do understand keeping him for insurance, but that's a weak excuse considering we had Riley in the wings too. And by keeping Camargo we could end up losing a ton of value for where he was value wise after 2018.

That's all anybody can do. He is still awfully young, time will tell if and when he produces at the major league level. But it might take him a couple of yrs to really get it done and that is all right Look at the history of Mike Schmidt in year two. Not saying he will be that good but if he can be a Moustakis type with a bit higher OBP that is fine with me. It took him a little while too.
