Anyone heard what uniform # Ozuna is going to wear? He's been 23 but that's Duvall's (unless he gets moved or switches numbers). Just curious. I hope they fight it out. Put it on Sport South as a special.

Sounds like the Reds offered Ozuna basically same deal as Mouse. 4/64 Daaaam, if this is true, then Ozuna is taking a pretty big risk with us and looking over 20per next year. That's not a bad contract offer. IMHO If even close to true it might bode well for us. Maybe he feels 100% and is really in shape and confident.

Probably more like 3/$40. with a big yr he will get Donaldson money next yr. Cincinnati has said they offered 4 yrs in the neighborhood of Mouse contract on Cincinnati sports radio

Not saying Camargo is as good as Arenado not even I would do that. But given the coors field factor. If Arenado and camargo had switched home fields would there numbers be close in 2018?

If Arenado and camargo had switched home fields would there numbers be close in 2018? what made me think of this was looking at Arenado splits. In 2018 Camargos wrc+ and Ops were both better than Arenados road splits. It just got me thinking how much coors still affects the numbers. I really don't want the braves to trade for Arenado I would hate to spend 30+ for a guy who's numbers could drop 15 to 20% leaving coors

Camargo had an 8.9 UZR/150 and Arenado had a 5.2 UZR/150. Camargo had a 116 wRC+ and Arenado had a 104 on the road. Arenado did hit 15 road HRs so he would beat Camargo in that regard. So it’s a better question than I’m sure it would appear to many people. For instance I don’t recall Arenado’s manager saying in spring training of 2019 he was pretty sure Arenado would make the team. The next natural question would be over the course of a career how would Camargo stand up in comparison. But in 2018 his numbers were a lot more unbelievable than people obviously realize.
Another thing for that year, Arenado slashed this in high leverage situations:
.222/.417/.361/.778 with a 91 wRC+
And Camargo slashed this in high leverage:
.375/.453/.571/1.025 with a 178 wRC+
And Camargo had 20 more high leverage ABs than Arenado.

Cardinals fans are giddy right now because they’re convinced they’re going to get Arenado. They appear willing to give 3-4 really good major league ready players and top prospects for him, then be on the hook for a ton of money they’ll pay Arenado into his age 35 or 36 season. He said he would accept a trade to the Cardinals and waive his opt out clause. No way in hell I’d do all that with his career road numbers.

Chopfest is going on. TC is posting interview clips, if you’re interested. So far they got clips of Acuna, Freeman, and d’Arnaud.

Let them have Arenado we will see what we have with a very likely improved Austin Riley in a couple of years Arenado might be sensible not opting out depending on what he does in another park assuming he is traded My thoughts is that Riley will improve substantially, but we will see. I don't know where Camargo fits for now, we will have to see who does better in ST I am sure both Camargo and Riley have done their off season work and are coming to camp focusing on being much better this yr Overall, its been a solied off season with some real good pick ups cannot say I disagree with any of the moves
