Well, the cleanup spot is not the same as it used to be. Badhaircut is what I would call a traditional cleanup hitter.........a guy with plus power who doesn't run very well. Nowadays, teams seem to use all different kinds of hitters in that spot, and contact is highly valued, as are walks. I see no reason why Marte or Bryant couldn't be effective there, especially Bryant, who hardly profiles as a #2 hitter anyway.

As much as most of us have written Ender off, as long as he is on our team I guarantee Snitker hasn’t written him off. If we don’t make any significant moves I wouldn’t be one bit surprised to see us start the season with Ender leading off, Acuna batting 4th and Nick batting 5th. Riley/Camargo 6th, catcher 7th and Dansby 8th. If Snit isn't careful, he's gonna mess around and let his loyalty to all things Nick/Dansby/Ender cost him his job. Loyalty is great to a point, but when it hurts the team, that's unacceptable. I'd argue that it hurt the team last year, but that's difficult to prove, given that we won 97 games.

As much as your potential lineup causes us to cringe, is it any worse than a potential RF Acuna 2B Albies 1B Freeman LF Markakis/Duvall C d'Arnaud CF Inciarte SS Swanson 3B Camargo/Riley, which is how Roster Resource currently has it projected? Actually, if we keep the current top three as we had it last year, there's no way to really go with 4-8 that's overly appealing.

If we stand pat I would think about leaving Acuna in the leadoff spot, bat Ozzie 4th, and then either Dansby or Camargo or Nick 2nd, whoever is hitting.

You know, I think a bigger issue than 3rd base is Markakis/Duvall. We don't need both of those guys on this team. I really wish we hadn't kept Markakis simply because of the hard-on that Snit has for him. You know he's gonna start most of the time. It freaking kills me.

So, I'm guessing that if we sign Ozuna or Castellanos, that Ender gets moved and we go with a Ozuna/Acuna/Markakis or Markakis/Acuna/Castellanos OF then?

Well, unfortunately, that's what I have to think, in spite of the fact that keeping Ender is probably better than keeping Neck. I'll believe Neck is a part-time/bench bat when I see it. He's a good guy and all, but damn, I just wish he'd go away.

I don't like this chick at all, very annoying in my book--I don't have anything against female broadcasters, I just find her unbearable. Now she's saying Mike Fiers was wrong for going public, I disagree.

Who compared Waters to a young Chipper Jones? The straw man, no doubt.

I am not crazy about that deal for the Braves, I do not want to move Waters or Pache If Kyle Wright were the pitcher in that one and another prospect not named Wright or Pache I might consider Could a package of Contreras, Wright, Ender and throw in another P like Ynoa or Touki get them to bite?

I don't think so based on what the Cardinals supposed offer is.
