Teheran will replace Martin FWIW I’d put him above Luke on the depth chart in the pen and take my chances, but I’m not going to hold my breath that will happen.

Right-hander Julio Teheran will replace injured reliever Chris Martin on the Braves’ postseason roster, the team announced Friday morning. Mark Bowman of MLB.com tweets that with Teheran now on board, he’ll likely draw the starting nod in a theoretical Game 4, with lefty Max Fried continuing on as a relief option for the rest of the series. Oh god I hope not.

I figure one of 2 things will happen. We will either rally around last night's issues and come out with a take no prisoners attitude and kick ass, or we will let the issues be the story and leave the playoffs with a whimper. I really don't think there's anything in between at this point. And the problem is now we face the best pitcher in baseball over his last 16 starts, he has a 1.00 ERA during that run. Pretty easy to envision us getting shut down now today. Knowing Flaherty is pitching today makes all of last night’s B.S. that much more aggravating. ........which probably means the Braves will baste him in the first 3 innings, because this is the playoffs and crazy crap happens.

DeRosa blew the Braves up. Great. He mentioned many that’s been said here already. Good.

Like GAPOZ go through to him the last 5 times its happened? I'm not counting on it... no fault of Ozzy, but I'm not. I can’t imagine how it’s going to feel the next time Acuña does it. It was maddening to see him stare at his homer in the ninth, but the next time he doesn’t run and gets held to a single I’m going to blow a gasket. I’ve been calling him down for this since day one, and I still place some blame on Snitker for letting it go on this long. What do you do? What would you have Snit do, sit him? It's a damn shame it had to happen, but I don't know what the hell you do about it at this point except hope it finally got through his head.

Keuchel was so shaky it forced Snitker to go to our pen too early and started the whole bullpen fiasco. He only gave up one run by the grace of God. People defending Keuchel makes me wonder if they were actually watching the game or are they just stuck on the fact he lucked out and just gave up the one run. I watched the game but have to disagree that he was shaky. He was pitching down and getting a lot of ground balls. He walked three but one was intentional and two were followed by double plays, which I think was exactly how Keuchel was playing those situations. And it’s not like the hits he gave up were ropes. He gave us enough to win. The offense didn’t come thru and Martin getting hurt threw the bullpen plans out of whack. He was keeping the ball down but couldn’t locate his pitches at all, he got two dp’s that bailed him out big time thanks to some good defense.

Using Greene so early started the out of whack problem, he’s been really good for six weeks and should have been saved for later.

I didn't see the first DP, but the 2nd one was about as routine as they come. Of course, we can't give Kuechel any credit. We just can't have that.......

I would attach an electrical shocker to his groin and if he doesn’t run as soon as he hits the ball I’d crank that thing up to 11.

Oh, I wasn't predicting that would happen. I had read on yahoo that it was confirmed ..just didn’t supply the link as I really felt most already knew this. Kinda thought it might be Blevins. And, for as effective as Max has been out of the pen, I would much rather see Fried on the mound in game 4 ...should we get that far....as opposed to Teheran. That’s what’s been reported by Mark Bowman, but it may be conjecture.

I’d have rode him home. DeRosa said the same thing. That game was a must win, and max could’ve very well closed it out.

This was classic Atlanta sports, guys. It's easy to fault certain decisions in hindsight, but in the moment, I don't think Snit did anything terribly wrong. We can blame Acuna for his blunders. That's legit even though it's not what ultimately cost us the game. I thought Snit had a decent plan. Greene came in the 6th to face a tough part of the order. Fried was the 7th. Martin was going to be the 8th. Melancon the 9th. Luke wasn't even part of the original plan. Losing Martin is what lead to the downfall at the end. This is the type of BS I've been used to my entire life as a Braves fan. Too young to remember the days when we used to get past the division series. Fredi G leaving Kimbrel in the pen in 2013? That was a real reason to get mad at the manager. Martin has been fine in relief. He should have been used in the earlier inning and regardless, Jackson should have been yanked before giving up the tying run. The tough part of the order was why Greene was brought in early? Nope. When Jackson came in he had to face Goldschmidt, Ozuna, and Molina... even tougher than what Greene faced in the 6th.

We shouldn't be having to rely on Melecon to close games. The guy is washed up. AA should have traded for Vasquez. But he went for the guys he did. I love Luke and want his to succeed more than anyone but we can't trust the kid right now he is to up and down. Same goes for Newk can't trust him. Everyone knows I am a Snit apologist but usi g Jackson in post season is bad call
