He has completely disappeared. I guess he's just Albies now. Does anyone think he's in any danger of being sent back down ala Dansby last year? This slump is getting pretty bad. He never walks, and he swings at literally EVERYTHING. I don't like watching this Albies character. I want The Great and Powerful Oz back!

No he is no danger right now of being sent down. I don't think so, either, but if this doesn't improve pretty soon, the Braves might not have a choice. He needs to make adjustments, and it's not happening here. His defense is fine, but his offense has been putrid for a while. I'm thinking moving him down in the order could help. Who knows?

He does need to get out of the leadoff spot in the order.
I knew he would normalize as the season went on and he dropped down to about a .265 hitter in May, but he really tanked when in the middle of his normalization period we also saw fit to move him to leadoff. No one is giving him much of anything to hit there because Freeman isn't sitting there as the next batter.

I think the homers, nice as they are, may actually have hurt his progress. As for leadoff, I personally think Dansby is more suited to that spot. I'd give him a shot at it. 2017 Ender would be nice, too....but he's also disappeared.

Also because there's no reason to give him anything to hit, any pitcher who throws him a pitch within 2-3 inches of the strike zone is a moron.

It’s that classic situation where pitchers have adjusted and now it’s his turn to adjust. His all-time record pace of extra base hits in a season may have altered his approach. Just like with Swanson, we should all have a large amount of patience and hope for the best. Kid has like a 70 hit tool. He’ll figure it out.

And right on cue, Dansby is leading off today and Camargo is playing 2nd while Albies gets a much needed day off.

He has 18 hits in his last 100 at bats counting the double he got today. He did get to a 2-0 count, which is a good sign, but it's only one at bat.

Nice opposite field pinch hit for Oz today. I still think Ozzie will finish the year with a .280 average and close to 30 home runs. Would not be surprised to see him catch fire again during the 2nd half of the year.
I definitely like Dansby leading off for now.
