He probably talked about adjusting stats for parks played in, and took defense into account when valuing players.

Nope.. I read a book about him once.. it's all true. Actually, I'm not surprised. Ted Williams was a friggin' beisbol genius. He put a lot of thought into his craft, and it's one of the reasons that he's maybe the greatest hitter who ever lived.

lol... WAR has him rated as a really solid player this year. blah blah blah blah blah.....rbi's bro, Nick has had them in teh past few years (just ignore that advanced mumbo jumbo that says Heyward has a higher OPS the last two years then Nick with runners in scoring position, that's voodoo stuff). Offensively, Heyward is worthless at this stage in his career especially for what he is getting paid -- he has no XBH pop -- look at the doubles with the HRS He is the Cubs problem -- that is one Theo Epstein mistake -- he was a good but not great player before his Cubs days but he is not good anymore at least with the bat and he is not getting any better from what we see this yr I will take Nick's near 40 doubles and RBI production of 89 and 76 in '16 and '17, and that is not taking into account his nice start this yr -- and he makes less than half of Heyward's money

and coincidentally... Nick is a 2.0 WAR player this year and Haywood is a .4 Its sad what has happened to Heyward, I did hope the Cubs were getting the 2012 version of Heyward in that hitters ballpark He never was the same after the 2013 face injury -- he was all right in 14 and 15 but not the same pop he seemed to have as a younger guy Now, the last 2 plus yrs he is down the charts as a hitter and that is unfortunate cause he is a good guy from GA and I always wish the ex Braves who have contributed here well I hope he gets his game back when he is not playing the Braves -- I guess he still has the D ability left
