Who has an aversion to having Acuna and Inciarte? I would be part of everyone, and I don't feel that way... TNMC just said "Acuna/Inciarte/Harper would be better", so I don't think he has an aversion either. Maybe some folk just feel like we could get something oh value in trade that would help us? "everyone" was a generalization. It seems people either want to trade inciarte because Acuna's natural position is CF or Inciarte isn't an extra base machine. It seems his gold glove defense is undervalued. And this board isn't the only board I have seen suggest trading him for those 2 reasons. IMO, I wouldn't trade Inciarte Unless it is for a corner outfielder that has power and good defense. I wouldn't do it for pitching or an infielder.

Do we have any more brilliant observations as to why Markakis is playing right field? Huh? Just curious...........

I don't think many on this bored undervalue his defense at all. At least I haven't seen that. Most everyone has clarified that when they are talking about Inciarte's negatives it is purely hitting related and if it comes to getting rid of him it's just because they think it could net a return in an area of greater need. I mean let's say Dustin Peterson comes on strong, or Pache... or we sign a RF free agent. I am fine with leaving Acuna in LF though.. I don't care what his natural position is!

Anyone who is completely unwilling to discuss an inciarte trade just frankly doesn’t understand baseball, FWIW

Anyone who is completely unwilling to discuss an inciarte trade just frankly doesn’t understand baseball, FWIW Is that what we are going to do on this board, be condescending? If you want to discuss trading inciarte, thats ok, discussing trading inciarte and using the he doesn't hit for power and their is a better CF on the roster reasons are incomplete. Signing a corner OF and trading Inciarte for anything other than a corner OF as a cornerstone piece of the trade is just creating what we have now. With Acuna in LF, Inciarte in CF, and Markakis if RF. Yes Markakis is raking right now, but how long will he stop getting extra base hits and start getting singles. Markakis is essetially inciarte without the speed and the elite defense.

Public Service Announcement
A couple of things guys... everyone can talk about trades and quite frankly trading anyone is okay to discuss.
Let's just do a couple of things.. lets not insinuate a lack of common sense if someone has a differing opinion than yours, and let's also not be easily offended by offhand comments about opinions.
We've got a friendly bored here with everyone contributing something of value. Let's keep it that way, not that much is really going on here.
Thanks! The Management

Blue jays “well give you Vlad Jr. for inciarte” Braves fans- “no his defense and singles hitting is just too irreplaceable”

I doubt that's what he meant. I would trade Freeman if the offer was overwhelmingly in our favor.
There is no sense in resorting to "reductio ad ridiculum" here.

Well I for one do not want Harper on this team. And guys have been known in this game to make adjustments that totally change there Game I for one think Our Hitting coach has changed several guys games with this new launch Angle approach. what if Nick plays the rest of the season the way he is now, outside of Harper is there another FA Of that would for sure be better than what Nick is playing right Now? I still believe whoever gives Harper 400 mil will make the worst signing in the history of baseball

Ok, but even if you re-sign Neck... how much longer can he be productive? 2 years? and that wouldn't be Harper productive either.
Then on the other hand you can lock up a player like Harper for what could be an entire WS window run by the Braves.
Now I don't think we will sign Harper by any means, and I am not sure the way Neck is playing now is the bet argument here, because I doubt he's playing that way 2-3 years from now.

I still believe whoever gives Harper 400 mil will make the worst signing in the history of baseball This is such a bad post. Please, explain to me what Harper had done that made you so mad that you don't want, a 26 year old, top 10 overall hitter. Then explain to me how you can not want Harper and in the same breath suggest that Neck is the 2nd best option in free agency because he's having a good beginning to this season. Did you forget how below average Neck has been for his entire Braves career outside of the this year so far? What makes you think he can keep this up this year? Even if he does why in the world would you believe he could replicate a career year as a 35 1/2 year old? Do you not realize how below average of a defender Neck is? Now please don't misunderstand my distain for you post as a lack of excitement for what Neck has been able to do thus far. Know this: if Neck is still on this team after the trade deadline then AA failed at his job this year.

Oh and to answer your shortsighted question: Pollack, Brantley, Cutch, Adam jones, and Puig would all be better signings than resigning Neck. Plus we don't have to limited our FA signings to OF. We can sign a 3rd baseman and fill our outfield hole with a internal candidate or a trade. Then you can add Machado, Murphy , and Donaldson to the list
