I just read an article by Bowman dated May 11th, and in that article he said these are Bautista's numbers against RHP since the All Star break last year:
.142/.246/.297/.543
So wow. Should he have ever been starting against RHP at any point this year in the big leagues? Will he continue to? For how long?
The two HR's he's hit recently were both off of lefties.

He should have never been anything more than a pinch hitter against LHP.

He should have never been anything more than a pinch hitter against LHP. and there's the sector that thinks he should never have been signed in the first place.

Yeap, that's the only justification in my mind. With this signing, AA created a hole where there wasn't at that time. I'm sure Flaherty was not going to keep the pace he was hitting but now nobody is hitting b/c there are no consistent at-bats.

You have to wonder if it's had an effect on Camargo, as well. He's done horribly at the plate since JB showed up. He may be pressing knowing that, once Dansby comes back, he probably ends up on the bench.
Pre-Jose: .261 BA, 5 XBH, 2 HR, 9 RBI (10 games) Post-Jose: .147 BA, 0 XBH, 0 HR, 2 RBI (12 games)

I'm sure Flaherty was not going to keep the pace he was hitting but now nobody is hitting b/c there are no consistent at-bats. A black hole which affects all around it. From fan sided "The flip side of that is the third base situation created by the forced addition of Jose Bautista at the expense of Ryan Flaherty. When Bautista took his place, Flaherty led the league in hitting and played above average defense. Neither I or anyone else suggests that Flaherty would have kept that up all season. At the same time no one expected Chris Johnson’s 2013 pursuit of the batting title. Bautista’s 156/.270/.375/.645 line with 11 strikeouts in 37 PA is second worst on the team to Charlie Culberson. He’s a been a black hole in the lineup and on defense"

Between AA helping out a bro and the guys in New York looking out for their umpire bros, we've lost quite a few games already from people looking out for their bros!

The man has been released It was a nice low risk high reward move that didn't work. I know some of you are pumped his gone. Personally I was fine with Bats. I'm happy he got released because it means Riley is gonna get the call soon!
