It's pretty rare for guys to struggle until they're 25 and then suddenly figure things out. Kelenic has basically had one hot steak in his career, and it was at the beginning of last year, not the end. I've never understood the logic of it. Kelenic is 25 years old now, he’s had 1400 big league plate appearances, a .663 career OPS, an 86 wRC+, and a strikeout rate of 31%. I’d like to know in what bizarro world any of that is acceptable production. And then Snitker sits right there and tells us just how stupid he thinks we all are with his nonsense about Kelenic having a solid season. He can blow that out his ass. I get trying to keep a guy’s confidence level up, but there’s ways to do that without blowing smoke in our rear ends. Snitker pays zero attention to stats so he has no clue just how bad Kelenic has been, and he’s trying to hoodwink fans who do keep up with stats. And I would dare anyone to deny that the eye test is even more telling on Kelenic. He has about six different ways he can be pitched and turned into a very easy out. And on top of all that, he doesn't do anything else particularly well. If he were a great defender, base stealer, or was a good utility guy, it would be different. He'll probably be out of baseball before he's 30.

But Snitker thinks he looks like one of them baseball player guys, so we'll sign him for four or five years, really cheap, probably assuming worst case scenario he'll end up playing out his professional baseball career in the minor leagues. But please don't sit there telling us he's doing really well, like the fans don't know better.

He wasn't exactly lights out in the post season. Yea... I'm going Maddux...

I knew it was Sale. I was being facetious/sarcastic in my attempt to deflect the perceived underhanded antagonism thrown at Sale, by saying that Maddux, as great as he was, had a sub .500 (11-14) pitching record and was not lights out himself. Ergo... does that make Cy Young any better by throwing shade at Sale... in a feeble attempt to undermine my affinity for him...

I threw it out there simply because of criticism of Fried not having a good post season record. Despite the fact he came up huge in the biggest win we've had in 29 years.
But what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander, I'm sure.

Most of us don't look at our players and disparage them because they are not someone else. That's joey's domain, bless his heart.

I just don't think if I had to win a game that my team absolutely needed, that he would be my choice. He just hasn't demonstrated that in the past several playoff years... save game 6 against Houston. He has come up on the short side more often than not. Not saying that Sale has been totally great in post season as well. But I would put a months pay on him to win me a monumental game than Fried. And please, let's not be disingenuous in throwing shade on Sale in your frail attempt to elevate Fried. We all know that you and friends absolutely mauled AA in making that Sale trade. How's that trade look now? Cy Young prospective winner vs borderline AAA player?

If that's what you got out of what was said, it just points to your lack of comprehension. This has nothing to do with anything outside of your desire to claim Fried always comes up small in comparison to the Sales and Wheelers of the world.
Plus you are just making crap up. The only mauling that was done about Sale was concern about his ability to stay healthy., but you carry on doing you there bud.

Let me guess—he’s being incredibly obtuse and continuing his practice of being a chronic liar. No matter how many times he gets slapped in the face with his ignorance, which is every time anyone addresses any of his nonsense postings, it has no effect on him whatsoever. Obvious troll is obvious, because no one could possibly be as stupid as he comes off.

I don't think the Braves will re-sign Max.
