Damn a rare miscue by Duvie out there. He was just doing his Ozuna impersonation.

Will Smith is not as good as his raw numbers show, too many grotesque choke jobs since he has been here
Look at the raw numbers you can argue he has had a decent season. But if you watch this team on a day by day basis, there is something you cannot trust.
Alex went out and got a better closer in Rich Rodriguez, a guy with a better WHIP - time to use him when the game is on the line
As for Martin, for this yr I am nearly as queasy on him as I am about Smith. Not that these guys are the worst looking at the numbers but can they be trusted.
But hey, they are winning so for the first time this yr we can have a good feeling about the team overall.
Can that Philly juggernaut be stopped, they are a pain in the tail right now and since they are in front we should be a bit worried until we can supplant them. If only we could have taken a couple of those games in the opening series instead of starting 0-4. That opening series still burns me and could be a division determiner. I have not forgotten that bad start, then again I still have not forgotten Kelly Johnson's dropped pop up early in the 2009 season that cost a game vs the hated Phils. Never forgave him for that
Philly plays the LAD, maybe they can help us.

Pretty sure this is the 1st time all year Snit has double switched. He must have needed to take a crap and one of the other coaches were calling the shots at the moment.

Alex Jackson just hit a towering 3 run HR for the Marlins. That's a double and 2 HRs in his first week with Miami.
Kevan has 3 doubles and no HR's in 88 AB's for us this year.
Kevan is 1 for his last 25.

Leon had a double? Where was I when that happened??

I don't understand why we haven't called Contreras back up. He's no great shakes behind the plate, but neither is Leon, and Contreras will hit at least some.

Braves are winning at a .562 clip after an off day in 2021. I couldn't find any numbers for percentage after an off day at home. The Reds are pretty good. I do know that.

Catching is horrible these days. That's why I'm calling Langaliers to the big club opening day '22.

Catching is horrible these days. Which is why I hated giving up Jackson for someone we could have easily signed in the off-season.

For whatever reason the powers that be were never going to give Alex a chance - they might end up being wrong. They did not see value in this guy My guess is they might have thought what Alex was doing in AAA this yr was not going to be sustained. The org obviously did not believe in him. Long term it might be a big W for Miami though we got a guy doing good things for us right now. Hope we keep our guy in Duvall - if we do that will take away some of the sting if Jackson winds up being a big time player for them. Hey, I don't get the infatuation with the Fabulous Leon but some one around there likes him. Kevan Smith has to be the very worst hitting catcher we have ever had in our ATL history.

Jackson only has to be an average MLB catcher to make the whole thing a complete disaster, and he REALLY looks like a major league hitter now. I'm going by me WATCHING him all season.
Since the Duvall thing was so mishandled it really is a black mark on management.
For the time being AA's moves look really savvy at the deadline this season, and I'll give him credit for that because the guys he acquired are performing well.
But time will tell one way or the other in the long run.

The funny thing is everyone appears to have completely forgotten about Rosario--he has the potential to be a really good player.
His resume is REALLY good over the last 4 years, but it's all going to depend on whether Captain Poopy Pants thinks Rosario is one of them baseball player guys.
"Rosario is having a bit of a down year, currently sporting the lowest OPS of his career at .695. However, from 2017 to 2020, he never recorded an OPS below .792 and finished top-20 in AL MVP voting twice. We will see how Brian Snitker chooses to allocate playing time between his array of outfield options, but at the very least, Rosario will be a huge upgrade over what the Braves had on the bench before the trade deadline."

Lawdy ESPN is AWFUL. Watching the cubs-sox game and they were talking about food. Karl Ravech talks about going to "Weiner Circle" and A-Rod was like "sure!, Though we'll lose our family friendly rating if we go after 10pm".
LMAO idiots.
