AA, this pen is on you bud. Nothing done to address it in the off season and instead of proactively trying to fix it now, he instead picks up every washed up veteran presents catcher he lays eyes upon You're right, the bullpen needed to be addressed this past winter, and was ignored. The bullpen is a constant grind that is turned over regularly. It takes hard work, an open mind, creativity, and being proactive to handle successfully. It is both the most difficult and the most important part of roster management, and with some exceptions, AA's biggest failing since he came to Atlanta.

Used Matzek in a blowout yesterday..... Used Minter in a tight he today. Inexcusable He probably would have stunk up the joint, too. Or one of the other clowns would have blown it in the 8th or 9th. The pen as a whole blows … it is what it is and why this season has been a failure.

yes the BP needed a replacement closer but minter martin n smith are all for the most part pitching crappy all year thats not AA fault heck jackson is the big surprise hes been great...but right now there the biggest hole on this team and i doubt it can be fixed by the deadline I feel the same way that its more of underperforming rather than all on AA. Even Snitker cannot be faulted for the overall underperforming. But the thing of using Matzek last night in a 9-0 game, that is a fair thing to point out Last yr Minter, Martin and Greene were good, this yr not so much. That is on the players. Smith, it was not unreasonable to expect him to close, on certain games he has underperformed and has blown some real big games badly.

As disappointing as this yr has been I will still take it over the rebuilding yrs
Those were the worst times thank god it was a short 3 yrs.
Even if they are sub .500, that is better than losing 95 games.
These moves might be giving me a false hope, but I would rather have something than the helplessness of waiting for next yr before June 15th

Tomlin is good when the lead is already gone. I don't get why Tomlin is still around nor do I get starting Touki vs one of the powerhouses in the game Tuesday

Dansby should be a perfect #2 hitter, but he doesn't have the patience. I think that's largely on Seitzer.

A 1-5 start to the 2nd half should make it abundantly clear that we are standing pat or selling at the deadline.
