The Braves Flipped the 2020 Script to Beat the Dodger's in the 2021 NLCS: The Recap, 7's and 4's were everywhereHello everyone X22 Report back again for the recap of the National League Championship Series. As the deciphers showed with Hank Aaron's 40+ were 8 season and we deciphered how he did in those 8 seasons. We saw he reached 44 home runs in 7 season against the Dodgers. 8 seasons he reached 46 home runs in the games against the Dodgers. It would be the next season on the first game against the Dodgers 4/8/1974 where Hank Aaron would get to 47 home runs. 8 seasons of 40+ home runs and who did we all see become the 2021 NLCS MVP.? #8 Eddie Rosario.
In the second decipher the combination of the NLCS. The combination of #44 Hank Aaron and #35 Phil Neikro. In 1969 we got the game dates of 7/4 and 7/7. In the 7/4 games it was a double header. The Braves lost in extras the first game and Aaron was out the second game but his brother did get an at bat. On 7/7 Hank Aaron hits his 22nd home run on the season and it was his 77th home run against the Dodgers. 77th on 7/7, that's pretty nice. We go to the 2021season and on the first date was 6/30 and the Braves clobbered the Mets and Ronald Acuna hits his 22nd home run in the game. Then we get a matching date of 7/4. This 7/4 date the Braves win on a walk-off. The pitcher who came in to pinch hit would save the game that of course was #54 Max Fried. A bit of a flip of script with extra inning walk offs In 1969 catcher Bob Tilman almost saved the game for the Braves when he hit his 6th home run of the season in the 10th inning. On to game 6 of the NLCS it shows how much parallels to the 7/4 game in 2021. #77 Luke Jackson struggling in the 7th on comes #68 Tyler Matzek to save the game and possibly the season, to ultimately help put the Braves over and win the NLCS.
On to the recaps and some deciphering.
Game 1 - Riley joins AaronBraves with home field advantage and it truly was home field advantage. The fans were rocking the stadium in this game. A drastic change in the weather and the fans were in their dark color fall clothing. A reminder it's no longer summer time, it was time to get in October Mode.
The first game where we thought it might be Max vs Max would not come fruition. The wild-card Dodger team pitching was used up in the NLDS and it would come down to a bull-pen game for their team. A win in this game and a good look at their relievers could play huge for the Braves going down the stretch. But the main goal is secure the win and take it day by day. The team would just do that.
We saw Max Fried wasn't having his best game. But to go 6 innings and give up only two runs is what number ones are made of. Fried's ability to not give up any walks would play huge. Giving up 8 hits and some earley walks and he may of been out by the 4th or 5th inning. As seen by the Dodger bullpen they would not give up any walks.
Rosario would give a small taste of what he was made of in this game. Moved to front of the order for the first time this year for the Braves and he came through in his first at-bat. A good spot for Freeman a chance to do damage with runners on base. Who'd thunk it that Freeman would strikeout 7 consecutive times in this series. What was most likely to be a hit--n-run turns into strikeout and stolen base. Years past that's most likely a strike-em-out/throw-em-out double play. Ozzie makes contact and moves the runner over to third. Eddie then scores on the wild pitch. A nice change for the Braves to be able score on a gift run to start the game.
Dodgers as they usually have done all season long show they are contenders. They quickly score the next inning and would go up another run in the top of the 4th inning on Will Smith home run. Max Fried on both runs given up would shake off d'Arnaud. In press interview Fried would acknowledge how he would go more with Travis's flow after struggles. One thing the Braves have shown in their last 3 games is they like that that 4th inning. Austin Riley with two outs would score the tying run on a home run that would just stay fair.
The pitching on both sides would hold down the fort until the 9th inning. The top of the 9th inning another gift to the Braves. Chris Taylor with a base running blunder would get caught in a run down. The Braves would catch a momentous break, as they go to the bottom of the 9th. Freeman was due, just coming off the biggest home run in his life. Here' Freeman is again with a chance to walk-off. An uncharacteristic 4th strikeout in the game. Not a good start to the inning, but this would not deter this Braves team. They've created an identity and they planned on building on it. Ozzie would single to center field on a ball lofted in the air for quite a while. With the outfield playing deep, they were nowhere near catching the ball. Ozzie steals second base rather easily on a strike thrown to Austin Riley. The next pitch would be the game ender. Riley pulls a line drive hit to left field and and Ozzie scores easily
Riley would make history with that hit.
A nice way to join Hank Aaron and to be the first to do it on a walk-off.
Game 2 - Resilience like it's April 8th, 1974.This game started off with runs scored before you even had a chance to get settled in. Ian Anderson would give up a hit that was just missed by Dansby Swanson. The next pitch of the game and it's a two run home run by Corey Seagar. The wrong #5 hit a home run. This game could have gotten ugly quick but as we saw the damage would be limited. The Dodgers would only have 4 hits but were walked 9 times and a hit batsman. I wouldn't say they were effectively wild. But they weren't getting the calls the Dodgers were getting in the early goings. Some of the worst called balls and strikes we've seen all post season.
On to the bottom of the 4th inning. An out to Ozzie and then Scherzer gets wild where the umpire can't help him. Austin Riley would take his second walk in the post season. A nice change for Riley from September. Both of his walks in the post season would benefit in some runs. The next battter #22 Joc Pederson would hit a monster home run to tie the game. Just like Hank Aaron did in 1974 on his 715th home run. A two run shot to tie the game, a no doubter home run. Nice to see #22 make the score 2-2 and make the X22's proud for his 3rd post season home run of 2021. Joctober and pearls running wild.
With the 9 walks the Braves pitching would get 10 strikeouts and they would come at some very valuable times. The 7th inning would not work so well for the Braves. After a lead-off walk to Betts and stolen base, Tyler Matzek he would get two strikeouts. Will Smith is intentionally walked and in comes the struggling Justin Turner, hurt neck and all. The Braves turn to a double switch and bring in Heredia and Luke Jackson. Luke would show visible signs with lack of grip on the baseball and then would do the last thing you would want to do, he hits Justin Turner.
The walks finally would come to roost after Chris Taylor's line drive hit to centerfield. Heredia coming in on the ball looking like it was going to hang up. With just inches from the ball Heredia isn't able to make the catch and keep the ball in front of him. The ball drops near the right four of the 44. But it just missed hitting the part of the four. Only on the bounce would it hit the four.
So the Braves tied the game in the 4th and trailed in the 7th. They wouldn't score in the bottom of the seventh. In the top of the 8th Chris Martin comes in and gets through a clean inning on just 8 pitches.
On to the bottom of the 8th. The Dodgers would bring in game 5 starter #7 Julio Urias. A move that ultimately would be the wrong decision. for Dave Roberts. Leading off the inning was Eddie Rosario and the making of post season hero would begin. As lead off hitter should Eddie was just looking to get on base. On the second pitch he hits it to the right side of the field for a single. On comes comes the NLDS hero of game 4 and sending the Braves to the NLCS, Freddie Freeman. Freeman who uncharacteristically has struck out 7 times is looking for redemption but it's going against a tough lefty yet again. Freeman not looking to strikeout hits the first pitch opposite field. Pollock would make the catch near the warning track, and to everyone's surprise Eddie would tag up from first. A good throw nails him but the throw wasn't even close Rosario nabs second base. With Urias being a lefty this was a gamble to tag but probably is better than attempting to steal. Not only is it a less distraction for the hitter but it also gave the hitter less doubt about where to hit the ball.
So on comes Ozzie batting righty. On a 0-1 count Ozzie does the unthinkable he hits it opposite field against the shift on a loopy line drive. Ron Washington in a daring play to send the runner home the ball just dribbling slowly to the right field he charges hard and throws home. If he's out, it could have been seen as a dumb play, considering Ozzie didn't even advance to second on the throw. Washington on the other hand see's it as if he scores here we have a runner on second and another chance with runners in scoring position. It was a daring play.that pumped up the team.
Urias would stay in the game to face game 1 hero Austin Riley. Riley on the first pitch hits a scorching line drive to the lcenter left wall. Mookie Betts recovers the ball rather quickly. Ron Washington on another daring attempt sends Ozzie home. If Smith catches the ball Ozzie is out, but Ozzie is able to hit into Smith's glove for him to make a clean catch. The Braves tie the game in the 8th 4-4. Do not mess with the 44 in the outfield.
The Braves did not score any more runs n the 8th. New ball game and on to the 9th. Will Smith is in the game and on the first pitch Trea Turner hits a shot to left field. Rosario runs to the wall and gathers himself gliding his back to the wall he goes to his right and makes the catch. One out and on comes the Will Smith vs Will Smith battle. Will Smith strikes out Will Smith, 2 out. Will Smith then strikes out Austin Barnes on a 3-2 count. On to the bottom of the 9th.
Pitcher Brusdar Graterol come in the game for the Dodgers and Travis d'Arnaud lead off the inning. On a 2-0 count Travis get a hit to center field. The speedster Christian Pache comes in to replace Travis. Dansby Swanson is called in to do the old school bunting. Swanson in his last at-bat grounded in a double play. Swanson on a 0-1 count gets the bunt down but it's hit hard to the right side of the field. Graterol throws a bouncer to second and they just get the force out. Heredia would hit a soft grounder to third that gets Dansby to second base. The Dodger make the pitching change to Kenley Jansen. What's Kenley Jensen's number? #74 Kenley Jensen. With the game tied 4-4 and #74 on the mound it was like going back to April 8, 1974 a historic moment for the Braves could happen in this moment. Now two out and Eddie Rosario up to bat. Eddie Rosario on the first pitch hits a 105 mph line drive bouncer to Corey Seager. Seager with little reaction time isn't able to scoop up the ball. If he misses completely that ball is going out to where the Dodgers score their 4th run. Instead it's deflected slowly going towards the left side 4. Dansby scores easily and the Braves win in another classic ball game. Rosario was celebrated as he rounded first and his heroics were just beginning.
Speaking of Eddie's 105 mph hit ball. 105 is the amount of home runs Ronald Acuna Jr is at and I read that article PA posted and well the amount of comments in that game I screened capped. 44 comments.
On to the Road.I'm not going to go in much detail in these game. I know we all seen these games and I gotta have more time to decipher. I only have one more day.
Game 3 - A taste of Deja Vu?Rosario starts the game off strong again. Another lead off single, and there is a Freeman sighting he gets his first hit of the 2021 NLCS. Braves are looking to have a promising inning against Buehler. Albies makes an out and Rosario makes a base running blunder and gets doubled up. Unlike Duvall's gamble when he got doubled up this one stung a little more. (Duvall had that ball dropped would have scored if he lets up and just get to third then they walk Swanson for the pitcher in the NLDS). Braves failed to score. On to bottom of the first and Mookie Betts walks again.. Seager this time around is behind the count 1-2 yet is still able to hit a home run. The Braves failed first inning would hurt but we saw what happened in game 2. Plenty of baseball left.
On to the top of the 4th . Freeman in his second ab gets another hit. Freeman's back! Ozzie flies out. Riley hits a long ball to center field. Lux isn't able to make the catch. What was originally ruled a double would rightfully be changed to an error after the game. The Braves were in business. Pearls Joctober comes through again. A Duvall sighting. He singles and knocks in Freeman Games tied 2-2. Travis walks, Dansby singles knocking in Pederson. 3-2 Braves. Morton strikes out. Then Rosario would prevail again, he takes a walk on 4 pitches. Braves up 4-2. In the first three games of the series the Braves would score 7 runs in the 4th inning. This game was looking great for the Braves to go up 3-0
The Braves would have plenty of more opportunities to score but only scored once more. One things the Braves have learned over the years is Dodger Stadium is a hard place to win for Atlanta. Not tacking on more runs would be costly. On to the bottom of the 8th and the Braves up 5-2. Luke Jackson would see the wrath of babip'ed. A pefrectly well placed opposite field hit for Will Smith that only resulted in a single. A ball just out of the reach of Swanson, had he been position less to pull that would have been a tailored made double play. And then the unlucky fastball out of the zone home run off of Bellinger. Snitker continues to let him pitch and that would wind up being more costly.as that runner would ultimately would be the run that made the Dodger go up 6-5.
The Braves looking to go up 3-0 would in a great position to win the NLCS. But the Braves couldn't get all 27 outs to do so. It's these moments as a team you step back look at the season and know how bounce back. They've done it all season long. You take it in the perspective that the Dodgers did not win a 106 games on a fluke. If you think the playoffs is going to be this easy then you're not prepared for the World Series. You hate to lose but you have to respect losing to know how to win. (paraphrasing a good Michael Jordan Quote)
Game 4 - Braves come back, flip scripts are everywhere. Lefty Urias is pitching. Swanson leads off and Eddie Rosario bats 5th. Huascar Ynoa is scratched with shoulder issues. Originally the plans to start this game, instead Snitker goes with what's worked of late. Jesse Chavez in the first inning just coming off a shaky 8th inning. The Dodgers did themselves no favors as Chavaz was behind the counts and the Dodger were looking to build on game 3 instantly. 3 up and 3 down.
Braves in the second go back to back with Rosario and Duvall. Duvall would make an excellent jumping catch in bottom of the 2nd. Possible a home run eitther way that burned for the Dodgers especially coming off Lux's bat.
Braves are letting the Dodgers know they are for real. Braves in the third and Mr. Friendly Freeman goes beast mode he pulls a no doubter home run. Two outs and Rosario said he's not done. He triples. The hardest part of the cycles are checked off. Joctober comes through again. The Braves up 4-0.
Top of the 5th, Ozzie Singles, and Rosario singles with one out. One more base checked off for the cycle. Duvall hits the sac fly. Braves up 5-0 Smyly pitched a heck of a game, but he would give up to opposite field hits. The shift was not kind to the Braves. Pitching change Martin in. The Braves let Bellinger still second they get screwed by a stubborn shift again and just like that the Dodgers have life.
That would not stop the Braves The three lefties would stop them from scoring any more runs. AJ Minter set the stage with two strong innings. Matzek sets them down in order and gets a the last out on a strike out to Mookie Betts. (Have we seen this before? No but we will again)
Top of the 9th Freeman leads the scoring on a ground rule double. Swanson single and stolen base helps Freeman get his RBI. Rosario gets another chance for the cycle. With one out and two on base. All he needs is a double. He takes a quick hack at the ball on a 1-1 count. It's atleast looking like a sure double but the ball just just stays on a line drive trajectory. Don't be too bummed you didn't get the cycle cause it's a home run and the Braves need all the runs they can get to secure a win. The Braves go on to win this game 9-2. So on game 4 the Braves won with a 7 run lead with 4 home runs in the game..
Game 5 - The Narratives are set the jinx is in. Freddie and Eddie dont care. Not much to talk about this game. It started off great Rosario singles and Freeman hits a two run home run. We have our ace on the mound vs a bullpen game. The Braves clinching was looking good. Max Fried the California native was hoping to cruise to the World Series. Fried who pitched superb for the last few months would finally have a game that brought him back down to earth. It happens to best of pitchers. While not pitching horribly but just having location problems and perhaps and little warn out with being in the spotlight and plenty of family and friends at the game it just did not go right for him. The pitcher who kept Braves playoffs chances from sinking had an absolute bad game and he couldn't be the man to get us over the hump as he did all late into the year. It was a bummer and not to the end of the world. A 41 year old Albert Pujols, soon to be HOF did him no favors. It happens. If Pujols retires which he should then I think thats a good way to go out for him. Braves lose 11-2
We're coming back home. Time to flip the 2020 script.Game 6 - 1974 or 2021What can I say. The atmosphere! The fans. The place was packed out. The Braves would not be stopped in game 6. I had some key deciphers in this game. Plenty of signs pointing to 7. How would that 7 show up. It showed up in the 7th inning.
Late in the night before we heard Max Scherzer's dead arm was legit and he would not start game 6. Perhaps a relief to some but the Braves have had trouble with a lot of the bullpen guys and who knew if Buehler could pitch well on three days rest. On to the game it was loud.
Top of the first Ian Anderson gets them 123. Seagar didnt help himself swinging at a 3-0 pitch.
Bottom of the first and Rosario already showing he's the MVP of the NLCS. He gets an opposite field hit. Freeman would hit the ball fairly hard right into the shift for a double play. The home games still were not to kind to him. That didn't stop Ozzie and Braves MVP Riley from hitting two doubles to lead the scoring. Braves up 1-0
Anderson gets them 1,2,3 in the second,. Joctober hits a 113mph ball opposite field and some how it's hit directly at Corey Seager. He catches it this time. The Braves are still hitting Buehler hard
In the 3rd inning he gives up a lead off double but does well to get out of the jam with the bottom of the order up. Mookie Betts comes up and he would ground out to third base. Mookie first time to fail with runners in scoring position The bottom of the third Freeman gets on base with a walk and one out and a single by Riley with two outs. Nothing would come of this inning.
Inning 4. DO NOT SCORE ON THE BRAVES IN THE 4TH INNING. This inning was when Anderson control was becoming worrisome. Fastballs were to wild. and being behind in the count would not keep this Dodger team much longer. Seagar gets himself out again on a 2-0 count. Turner gets walks on a 3-2 count. Smith hits a single opposite field. Christ Taylor strikes out on a 3-2 count. Then Cody Bellinger does it again he hits it against the shift and ties the game. Anderson gets out of the game 1-1 count a pop=up out to Austin Riley
Like I said don't score on the Braves in the 4th inning. Buehler actually looked like he was getting better this inning. He gets a quick two outs on Pederson with a K and Swanson a first pitch flyout to Bellinger in center. Buehler then shows the 3 day rest on Travis. He gets ahead 1-2 but then walks him 3 straight balls.
On comes a very tough decision for Brian Snitker. Could he let Buehler off the hook and gain strength another inning without trying to score with of all things two outs. I mean if Rosario wasn't hitting the way he was I think you probably leave Anderson in. But first the pinch hitter Ehre Adrianza would have to be able to do something for that to happen. Oh he would do something, on a 1-0 count he doubles to left field. A double that would have scored the catcher d'Arnaud had he not fielded it a cleanly as one could. Gotta give it up for Ron Washington to hold up the runner.
On comes up the no doubter NLCS MVP. I'm all up next to the TV screen. Pitch 1 - a strike. Pitch 2 - foul tip strike, pitch 3 - foul ball, pitch 4 - ball, pitch 5 - foul, pitch 6 - foul, pitch 7 - A three run home run to right field. An unbelievable home run. You just can't get this guy out. Braves again in the 4th inning scoring runs. And how about it 4 runs in game in the 4th inning. Remember the 47 home run decipher was on April 8th, 1974. Remember 1974 - 2021 is 47 years. Buehler's number is #21.
Pay attention hereRosario in game 2 in a 4-4 tie in the 9th game winning hit and walk off in a of #74 Kenley Jansen. The 4th and 8th innings Were the innings the Braves tied 4/8. Rosario in game 6 in the 4th inning in a 1-1 tie gets the game winning hit a home run off #21 Walker Buehler on the 7th pitch of the at bat to put the Braves up 4-1. Buehler would finish the inning off. His NLCS ERA 7.04 He gave up 4 runs on 7 hits. The 4th and 7th innings were key in this game. We cant forget 8/4/2021 is the comeback game and that 1974 - 2021 is 47 years.
On to the 5th inning. Minter in the game He goes to a 3-2 count on Pujols but ultimately he strikes him out. Burns grounds out to Swanson. On comes the Braves nemesis Mookie Betts. Minter strikes him on a 1-2 count. Braves bottom half of the 5th was not much Joc reaches base by hit by pitch.
On to the 6th inning. Minter is still in the game. his control was a bit worrisome in this inning but he gets a strike out on Seager 3-2, Turner gives a gift ground out on first pitch. and Minter strikes out Smith on a 3-2. These guys are mowing them down quick.
Bottom of the 6th had some promise after two outs d'Arnaud strikes out on a 0-2 count, a pinch hit out by Camargo.on 1-1 count. Rosario, Freeman, and Ozzie walk the bases loaded. Up comes Austin Riley on 1-2 the Umpire totally shafts him on 1-2 count an pitch that never had a plate ruined the inning. He had a chance to hit a grandslam and make the score 7-1. Such pitiful balls and strikes calls by these umpires. This game would be heavily one sided. Im convinced the Braves would have scored 7 runs had it not been such an awful strike zone
On to the 7th inning. The Miracle 7th Inning
On comes in #77 Luke Jackson in the 7th inning looking for redemption. He would do none of the such. This was a no excuses, awful inning for Luke. A lead off double off the wall to Chris Taylor. Then he wants no part of Bellinger a 4 pitch walk. A bad pitch that hung up enough for Pollock to hit a double down the line to left field. This game was looking to be tied really quick. Ya know the deciphers showed in the game Aaron played against the Dodgers was his 77th career home run in that game and 22nd of the season in 1969. This was a bad game for Luke Jackson but that 77 was shown because the team would have Luke's back this go around. Snitker calls on #68 Luke Jackson. If it's black jack 77 or 68 in the 7th. 7, 7, 7 or 6,8,7 both add up to 21. This 2021 Matzek will shut down the door in the most improbable of ways. 3 strikeouts on three right handed batters.
Oh lordy batter number 1. The future HOF Albert Pujols who showed he can still hit lefties in the playoffs as seen in game 5. On 4 pitches a 1-2 count Albert Pujols strikes out swinging. Batter numeber two, Steven Souza on 4 pitches he strikes out on 1-2 count. Batter number three. Batter number 3. Betts probably thinking they'd pitch around him to go against a lefty is surprised to get a two fastballs in the zone. Now Betts is on the cuffs who knows what Matzek is going to throw next. This time the locatoin is up and out higher in the zone and thrown harder a 98.3 mph fastball. Sorry house wins 6+8+7 = 21 beats 9+8+3 = 20. House wins. Betts 2nd K of the game
On to the bottom of the 7th. Swanson gets a two out single and d'Arnaud gets another bad call from the umpire. He doesnt argue thought. You know why because he wants Matzek to stay in the game. Stay focused on winning despite whatever Sniiter might have been thinking.
On to the top of the 8th inning. Matzek still in. Corey Seager strikes out on 3 pitches. Trea Turner grounds out to Riley on the first pitch. Will Smith grounds out on the second pitch to Austin Riley. A 6 pitched inning In total a 17 pitched master piece. Tyler Matzek becomes a Braves hero and player of the game to save the Braves season. The deciphers showed something about 7 and looks like it was the 7th inning. Who knew it would be because of pitching that took another player to save his teammate. Luke had a bad series, but sometimes you just don't pair up well with you opponents. Let's hope he finds himself come Tuesday if he pitches.
On to the bottom of the 8th. Soler in to pinch hit. What a battle he put up. Not knowing how his bat was going to be he sure put up a battle against #74 Jensen. On the 8th pitch and 1-2 count he is able run out a double to well place ball in left field. Eddoe Rosario once again hits a shot to center field. This time they catch it though. Still a productive out. Freeman is intentionally walked and Ozzie at-bat doesnt go well a strikeout. On comes Riley yet again the umpire calls pitch two a strike that was a ball. This would make the at-bat that much harder. As he fouls off a hittable pitch then isn't able to catch up to the next pitch that was just in the zone
On to the 9th. Just three more outs and we're going to The World Series. Can we get no drama from Will Smith?
Yes we would see a clean inning from Will Smith. It took both Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger 6 pitches to strikeout. A 2-2 count on Taylor, and a 3-2 count on Bellinger. One more stinking out and the Braves advance. The count is 1-0 and AJ Pollock decided to not go opposite field this go -round. He hits a sharp ground to #7 Dansby Swanson. Swanson does a bit of a safety slide to secure the ball. He spins around and throw on to Freeman for the assist. Braves win their 7th consecutive home game and since 1999, 22 years the Braves are going to the World Series.
Looking more into the deciphersAs seen the Braves scored the winning runs in 4th inning and the 7th inning was saved with great pitching. 4 and 7 or 7 and 4 both are interchangeable
It took a team effort of pitching and hitting and the fans ultimately held the Dodgers down to only scoring 8 runs in the 3 games in Atlanta. Home field advantage really paid off this NLCS. In game 2 the Braves scored in 4th and 8th and got the game winning hit off #74 Jansen in the the 9th 4/8/1974. Game tied 4 - 4 in 4/4/1974 Hank Aaron ties Ruth. Jensen comes in throws one pitch #8 Eddie Rosario wins the game on a scorcher
In game one like in the 4th inning Riley ties the game on a home run like Aaron did on 715, in game 2 Pederson ties the game on a two run homer like Aaron on 715. In game 6 Rosario hits his 3rd home run like Aaron did in the NLCS in 1969 a 3 run home run shot in the 4th his NLCS MVP status.
Game 4 the Braves won with a 7 run lead.
This far in post season the Big 4 outfielders have combined for 7 home runs. and that's without Soler in most of the NLCS. Both Rosario and Pederson were at 7 home runs in the regular season and Soler had that combined at 14 home runs.
Eddie Rosario's line

Adding up the runs, hits and run differentialThe Braves run scored in this series went like this
Braves scored a total of 28 runs in the 6 games Denominators of 28 are 7 and 4.
In the 4 games wins Braves scored a total of 21 runs. The Dodger scored a total of 10 runs. That's a +11 run differntial
In the 2 games losses Braves scored a total of 7 runs. The Dodgers scored a total of 17 runs. That's a +10 run differential
Braves 28, Dodgers 27. Braves +1
Just to note again 11 is divisible into 715. 715/11 = 65
The Braves had 53 hits in the NLCS. If we go back 53 games from the post season to the regular season. It brings us back to my first Flip the Script post. Game 118 (officially 119) August 15, 2021. Both the Phillies and the Mets lose. The scores to those game Phillies lose 7-4. Mets lose 14-4. Braves were in first place by themselves the first time all season. With 44 games left to play or finish. Great way for the flip the scripts to tie in together
More on to game 6 The Braves won 4-2. Remember #42 Jackie Robinson, Aarons favorite player growing up. Also in game 4 and 2 the braves just allowed 4 hits in each game (44). Now we look at the hits Braves had 9 hits to Dodgers 5 hits. 95' 1995 the Braves win the World Series in game 6.
Next up we look at the walks and strikeouts in game 6. Braves gave up 2 walks and had 14 strikeouts. The Dodgers had 4 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Braves doubled the Dodger in both categories. and we see another 4 and 7.
For all the hell that #77 Luke Jackson went through in this NLCS. I went back to the regular season and I looked up game 77 and game 7/7 (which was game 86 and the date Aaron hit his 22 home of the season in 1969 and 77 home run against the Dodgers for his career) In game 77 (June 27) The Braves would win that game 4-0 against the Reds. The Braves had 14 strikeouts and only gave up 2 hits in that game. Luke Jackson played in that game and gave up no hits in the game. The Braves record on that win 37-40. The Braves had 37 hits in their wins in the NLCS.. Also Matzek would help Luke by striking out the side and getting 4 strikeouts in the game.
On game 7/7 the Braves win against the Pirates 14 - 3 . 14 runs. Acuna hit his 24 home run on the season and his last of the season before his injury. The Braves record after his win 42-44
Well that ends the recap of the NLCS. It was a very long one, but it tied into Hank Aaron's 4/8/1974, 715 home run of his carer against the Dodgers to beat Bath Ruth's record. So it deserves to be extra long. Ok onto the World Series. Let's see what I can give in the up in coming X22 Reports.
