The Setback: The stars are not always visible
44-44 A win today gets us back to .500, but at a huge cost of losing Ronald Acuna for the year. Just one of many setbacks in a mind numbing year for Major League Baseball. What is 44 best known for in Braves history? Ofcourse, Hammerin' Hank Aaron(RIP) baseball number. Braves have played 88 games on the year. Think mph, think DeLoarian, think time travel. Who's first post was in the, "Atl (Fried 5-5) @ Miami (Rogers 7-5), Sat 7.10.21, 4:10pm" tread? SuperBrave Who is in SuperBrave's avatar? The Hammer What was his first post about? Hoping for the best for our superstar Ronald Acuna Jr.. Ronald Acuna is just 23 years old when Aaron was 23 he lead the league for the first time in homers. With how many home runs? You guessed it, 44 dingers. In fact Acuna was on pace to have more home runs than Aaron. Acuna was at 105 home runs and Aaron was at 110 at the same age. SuperBrave has been a fan Brave fan since 1971. What did Aaron do in 1971 at the ripe old age of 37. He just lead the league in slugging and OPS. Also he had 47 home runs the most in his career in a single season. Folks, who has been the most Super Brave in the franchise? Henry Aaron is here and is back to the future. What is half of 44? 22. This has been the x22 Report reporting. Lets keep hammerin' and slugging our way through all these pitfalls with that Henry Aaron spirit and longevity. If we cant get em this year, we get em in 22. (note: baseball-reference counts the suspended game that was completed on 9/24 as completed on 7/21, game 95 on the season. Just to be clear this game was completed on 9/24 and was game 152 on the season, in my eyes. This all kinda spoils the numbers as for reference, but it's a fact this is not how the season went down. So from game 96 to game 152 as it shows now you will have to subtract one for any of reference of how it really went. BR had the game numbers typed in as I had written before the 9/24 games)
For some reference this is how the season was scheduled after the suspended game before the rain out with Colorado. Wayback machine last update of this page was before the game with the Phillies. web.archive.org/web/20210723031250/https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/ATL/2021-schedule-scores.shtml

I appreciate the shout out bravter. It is great to be among Braves fans on this forum.
Hank Aaron will always be the glue that holds Braves history together.
Great research on Acuna's and The Hammer's stats and how similar they were shaping up to be.
RIP Henry and Get well soon Ronald.

It is interesting this occurred at 44-44...
I mean 44-44 is 0, and that's exactly what I would rank this season.
"0 stars, would not watch again"

The Comeback: No one said it was going to be easy!
X22 Report here. Hi everyone it's been awhile a bit of a come back myself. Let's just jump right into some deciphering. What a comeback and battle tonight, right? Let's take a look at some numbers. The game is looking bleak we're down 2-4 with two outs and a runner on base in the top of the 8th. I'm in my car at a steak-n-shake drive thru I said if Riley hits a home run here, the Braves might just be taking the division this season after all. Let me be perfectly clear I just don't say things like that on a whim. Low and behold the announcer shouts the ball is hit hard, It's going to the wall, is it going to stay fair? It's a home run" paraphrasing of course. The score is now tied 4 - 4. There's that number again folks. 44 while we're in the inning let's just tack on 4 more runs without making contact on the runs scored. Who's on a bit of a comeback himself to continue the inning with a double? Swanson, who's also inching closer to the .800 OPS line What player just recently returned and came back to the ATL and started the 5 consecutive walk brigade. Duvall, who hit his first home run for the 21' Braves in the battle to .500 Date: 8/4 Braves are back to .500 with a record of 54-54. 20 games after the 44-44 record. Remember Hank Aaron's MLB debut 1954 at the age of 20. Date: 8/3 & 8/4 What poster made a comeback to make a couple of posts on this board after 390 days of not posting? The Warrior... ahmmm excuse me. The Pretty Canadian Warrior Princess aka Jah aka jahgentle. Where is jah? Why hasn't jah been posting lately? Let's look into the those two posts and his/her new avatar to get some clues. 8/3 First post is a music video about snowflakes (changing names of teams) & 8/4 The post is a link about winning a battle with tyrants (taking the all-star game away from a city). The new avatar is a female (hopefully) locked and loaded ready to go to battle (The Braves). Do these posts have anything to do with where jah has been. No, not at all. If you want to know where jahgentle has been it's in this tread ourbraves.freeforums.net/tread/310/jah-posting-latelyFolks, it's all about fighting back, and the Braves have won a major battle, but the war is not over. We're in a 3 team race and we're now 1.5 games back from the Mutts. Through this trying times we've seen some setbacks and comebacks. We got some good momentum finally at least. We're finally a game over .500 Now it's all about being in the moment and taking it one game at a time. It's not going to be easy but some times patience is key, like taking a walk or two or three or four or five. There's a Pretty Canadian Warrior Princess in all of us Braves fans just as much there is The Hammer in all of us. Sometimes it's just gonna take us longer than others to search and find to pull that out of us. Who will be the next Brave to pull The Hammer out of themselves? August - the trades? September - the call ups? Also props to Freeman for coming back to his former self. May you guide this team to victory.

Flip the script: Keeping the foot on the pedal!Hello everyone X22 Report back again. Nice to be back shortly after my last post. Boy, do we have some things to cover in that time. Lots of deciphering Let's start off with SuperBrave's first ever tread, 'A Trip Down Memory Lane - 4-8-1974'. The game where Hank Aaron hits home run 715 to be the all-time home run champion overcoming the legendary, and former Brave, Babe Ruth. A title held for 39 years. 4-8-1974 Braves win @ home 7-4 against the Dodgers bringing their record to 2-2. 8-4-2021 Braves win @way against the Cardinals 7-4 bringing their record to 54-54. Do you see it folks 4-8, 8-4. Both wins, same score, one @ home the other @way. Score 7-4 1974, score 7-4 2021, 2021 - 1974 = 47 years. Now lets look at the record 54-54 and 2-2. Both are @ .500. 5*4 + 5*4 + 2+2 = 44. Now let's look at the 2021 season date 8-5 Braves are a game over .500 to date 8-15 Braves are in first place by themselves by one game. That's 10 days apart and Braves record was 7-2 in that time period. Who wore #10 and played third base for the Braves? HOFer Chipper Jones. Who was Braves Sunday player of the game going 3-5 a HR (b2b w/ Freddie) 2R RBI and game saving playing to end the game? Third baseman Austin Riley. He saved the game to get us to 7-2 his jersey # is 27. 8-5-2021 Braves are third in east. 1. Mets (56-52), 2. Phillies (56-53), 3. Braves (55-54). 8-15-2021 Braves are game up in first in east 1. Braves (62-56), 2. Phillies (61-57), 3. Mets (59-58) The roles have flipped Braves are in first by themselves while the Mutts are now just a game over .500 and in third place. 8-15-2021 Phillies lose Sunday @ home to the Reds 7-4. 7 - 4 = 3 (#3 Babe Ruth) Babe Ruth last career game and RBI (bases load walk) were against the Phillies. Also Ruth hit his last three home runs in one game in Pennsylvania against the Pirates. Mets lose @ home to the Dodgers 14-4. 14 - 4 = 10 (#10 Chipper Jones) Chipper Jones the mutt killer named his kid Shea for goodness sake. 49 home runs and .949 OPS. Who did Aaron hit #715 against? The Dodgers. We'll see you sson. Let's not forget Chipper bashed on Phillies just as bad. vs Phillies: 49 home runs and 1.036 OPS and his last jack of his career we will never forget. www.mlb.com/video/must-c-chipper-c24451733So how many hits did the Braves have 6-5 win against the nationals? 10 (Chipper) how many home runs did the Braves hit? 3 (Babe) Let's give thanks to offense coming through during this time. Dansby Swanson has been bashing it and has gotten his OPS well over the .800 OPS lin to .815. Ozzie Albies being a hero. Duvall with some timely jacks, the return of d'Arnaud. Riley and Freeman staying strong. We all know it's going to be a team effort to stay in first. We do have some positives to look at. Braves are the only + in run differential in the NL at +72. Phillies are -18. Mutts are -25. A nice sign but it's the focus on winning that matters. Remember it's one game at a time. Keep hammerin away.

Cycles, Sweeps, & Streaks: Great feats while foes are seeing defeats.
X22 Report here again. The title pretty much is what we're going to get into today, but before we do that let's first talk about Mr. Aaron himself. I titled the tread 44-44. Braves team record and I couldn't help but think of Hammern' Aaron. So I did some more deciphering with some numbers.
44 x 44 = 1936. The year is 1936 and Braves franchise has a name change to the Boston Bees. They would be known as the Boston Bees for the next 5 seasons. 1936 Hank Aaron is just 2 years old and baseball is in it's first season without the living legend Babe Ruth, who retired with the Boston Braves in 1935. The 715 home run record was set in stone as the number to beat.
44-44 and 54-54. It took the Braves 20 games to get back .500. As already stated in an earlier post HOFer #44 MLB debut was in 54' at the age of 20. 44 x 54 = 2376. The Hammer(#44) debut in 54', played for 23 seasons, and retired in 76'. 1976 - The 755 home run record was set in stone as the number to beat.
On to #5 Freddie Freeman. The Braves veteran and leader hits for the second cycle of his career. It was the 333 cycle in MLB history. His first cycle in 2016 was the 310 cycle in MLB history. Freeman has 2 of the 9 cycles in the franchise history. The last Brave to hit the cycle before him was Mark Kotsay back in 2008.
6/15/2016 - Freeman's first cycle Score: 9-8 Braves win in Atlanta against the Reds in a 13 innings. Freeman hits the game tying home run in the 6th inning to keep it tied all the to the top of 13th inning, when Red's go up 8-6. Top of the 13th Adam Duvall leads off inning with a walk. Jose Peraza would walk to score Duvall for the first run. Bottom of the 13th inning the Braves came right back tying the game up. Chase d'Arnaud(Travis's older brother) comes in the game as a pinch hitter with no outs bases loaded. With the outfield playing in, Chase hits a fly ball to center field where the fielder normally would be playing and gets a hit on a single to win the game.
Freeman's stat line 4-7, 1 RBI, 2 R, 0 BB, 2K, .257 BA, .810 OPS. (gets his OPS over .800 in this game) Completed the cycle in the 11th inning on a single.
8/18/2021 - Freeman's second cycle (1st super-cycle) Score: 11-9 Braves pull it out in Miami against the Marlins the 9th when they had an 11-3 lead, just to show every run matters A super crazy weird game. A lot of 4's and 5's in this game. Freeman's cycle with a walk, Freeman scores 4 runs, only four Braves hitters had hits and it went down the order like 3. Freeman 4 hits, 4. Riley 3 hits, 5. Swanson 2 hits, 7. Duvall 1 hit. There was 5 RBI walks. 10 player reached base via bb or hbp. There was 10 hits, 11 runs, and 12 walks for the Braves. Duvall gets 3 RBI's, two on bases loaded walks. Also interesting Travis d'Arnaud gets an RBI walk scoring you guess who.. Freddie Freeman for the ninth run in the 8th. Lasty the former Brave, Alex Jackson, being the tying run at the plate, strikes out to end the game, and Braves secure the sweep.
Freeman's stat line 4-5. 2 RBI. 4 R. 1 BB. 0K, .301 BA, .919 OPS (gets his OPS over .900 in this game) Completed cycle with a home run in 6th, and the super-cycle in the 8th with a walk.
2 Sweeps and a 6 game winning streak Braves get two consecutive sweeps and Met's and Phillies aren't doing so well. Phillies looking to get swept thanks to the Diamondbacks pitcher last night. Mets were swept in the series before this one and almost get swept in the series they just finished.
There are three teams that currently have a 6 game winning streak. Braves, Yankees, and the Dodgers. Mutts play the Dodgers tonight. If this is motivation to keep winning I'll gladly accept. If anything almost blowing a big lead show's the team they got be on their toes. Shut outs are nice, big wins are nice, but it means nothing if you're not in the moment when the game is intact. We reflect on our offday and play to win tomorrow.

Complete game shutout, winning streak continues: A reminder of the days of old
Hello everyone X22 Report right back at you again just a game later. The Atlanta Braves are on a roll and they are playing like it's a team sport. The players are stepping up for each other when some are having off nights. Nice to see Jorje Soler get a home run, and boy oh boy did Max Fried have a game!
8/20/2021 Max Fried becomes the first Braves pitcher to get a complete game, and complete game shutout of the 21' season. He lowered his era from 3.78 to 3.49 in this game, a 29(Smoltz) point drop. This is Fried's first 9 innings pitched complete game. He has two complete games for his career. His first complete game was against the Reds (like Freeman's first cycle) in 2019 in a 6 inning pitch shortened game on August 1st. Final score was 4-1. Fried had an earned run. Freeman had a 3 run home run and Duvall had a solo home run. For both the complete game shutout and the completed cycle had to feel much nicer doing it in a nine inning game. Funny kinda saying that because it took Freeman 6 innings, but the point is last time he did was in the 11th in of a 3 inning game.
Let's go on and look at Max Fried's line in Fridays's game.
#54 Max Fried - 9IP, 0 R, 4H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 4K Lots of you zeros there, and of course 4 and 4. 44 shines it's numbers again. Fried had only thrown 90 pitches, 66 strikes for 66 wins. Also the 7 hits to 4 hits is a nice little tid bit to 1974. Aaron's home run record breaking season, and his last season with the Braves. This win brings the team to 66-56, 10 games over .500 and a 7 game winning streak.
8/15/2021 - Flip the script This is the game the Braves pulled in first place by themselves, and the first time all year they were in first place by themselves. This is the game where it was Riley's day. I saw a lot of 10 and 3, and reverse numbers. I saw a lot of resemblance to Chipper Jones and Babe Ruth (should have included Dale Murphy as well). Where was The Hammer in all of this? Boy did I miss out on the biggest script being flipped. THE GAMES PLAYED! 162 - 44 = 118. This was the Braves 118th game on the season. So 44 games left on the season, and the Braves won to see first place by themselves for the first time all year. What a glorious Sunday it was.
Also some interesting things to note on. Freeman's first cycle was the 65th game in 2016, and his second cycle was the Braves 65th win this season. The Phillies did lose in Arizona Thursday to be swept, but they won tonight's game in San Diego. The Dodgers (beat the Mutts) and Yankees are continuing their winning streaks, so let's continue ours. Keep 7omahawking on!

And the common denominator was 3: Three non-contenders down, next up, three contenders in a row
Hi everyone and welcome to another installment of the X22 Report where we go into numbers galore. How about them Braves, them streaks, them feats. Tons of numbers to cover in this installment.
162 games in a season and the most common ways of breaking it down halves and thirds. Games-> innings (half innings)-> outs (strikes) Ok we get the basic math. Baseball is all about the number 3, and so it seems the 2021 Braves are all about that 3.
The denominators of 3 8/4/2021 - 2/3 of the 162 game season Braves win making their record: 54-54 with 54 games to go.
8/13/2021 - 8/22/2021 - 9 game winning streak 9 wins, 3 consecutive series sweeps, +33 run differential,
3 starters get two wins each with the offense scoring 45 runs in their games, 15 runs of support distributed equally to the 3 pitchers Runs scored in their games: Morton 15R (4R,11R), Fried 15R (12R, 3R) Toussaint 15R (12 R, 3R) They combined for 9 runs allowed (8 ER), and had 39 strikeouts
8/20 - Player of the game #54 Max Fried's 9 IP complete game shutout on 90 pitches 66 strikes, Braves win 3-0 getting the team to 66 wins on the season
#27 Austin Riley went on tear slashing (BA./OBP/SLG) .342/.405/.680, 1.089 and a .360 babip (all denominators of 3) 8/15 and 8/21 Player of the games offensively and defensively.
3 Braves OPSing well over 1.000 in all 9 games. Freeman - 1.278, Swanson - 1.213, Riley - 1.089, and d'Arnaud has a 1.117 OPS in 5 games
Now let's not forget of Sunday 8/22 win to 9 consecutive wins and still going. Braves score 3 runs in the 4th to win the game 3-1. 3*4=12. There's 12 wins on 4 team sweeps in 3 game series, and also 13(Acuna) consecutive road trip wins (Also the 14 consecutive road trip series wins and counting). 13+14=27
3 Teams to 9 consecutive wins (27 wins) Braves, Yankees, Dodgers. From 8/13 - 8/22 These three teams all had 9 wins on Sunday. Braves got to 9 wins. Yankees already had 9 wins because they played Thursday and Braves had an off-day. But their Sunday game was postponed due to rain. Dodgers also played on Thursday, and had 9 wins going into Sunday. They lost to the Mutts, thus their 9 game winning streak has ended, leaving only two teams left. The Yankees and Braves, and guess what? We're playing each other tonight Monday 8/23. Only one can win.
You couldn't write a better script. Two World Series rivals, the highest win streaks in baseball, and equal consecutive win streaks in baseball going head to head in a two games series. I wanted it to be a 9 win streak vs 9 win streak. Crazy how a rain-out happens and it comes to fruition. It keeps me motivated to looking at the numbers.
1991 Braves and the 2021 Braves. The 3's continue
1991 - 2021, 30 years have passed since the beginning of the Atlanta Brave Dynasty 1991 season. Also since the 94' strike this is the 30th season for teams to make it to the playoffs.
1991 - 2000 (9 division titles), 2001 - 2010 (5 division titles, 1 wild card is 6 playoffs), 2011 - 2020 (4 - division titles, 1 wild card) 18 division titles. Excluding 94' and this could make 19 division titles and 21 playoff births.
Game 123 - Shared W-L Records In 1991 and 2021 the Braves would share the same record in game 123. A shared record of (67-56). The last time they shared the same record was at (0-2) The 1991 Braves lost 2 games in a row to get the same record (67-56) and the 2021 Braves won 8 straight as it was Saturday nights (8/21 game)
The Braves are now have finished game 124 games and we' still are sharing the same record with the 91' Braves. The 21' Braves are at 9 consecutive wins and the 91' Braves would start the beginning of a 5 game win streak.
In game 125 the 1991 Braves would tie for first place with the Dodgers defeating the Expos. In game 126 they would took first place by themselves defeating the Mutts in a two game series sweep. Interestingly our 21' and 91' teams play New York teams in game 126.
The 1991 team would go on to have a signiifcant 7 game winning streak, have a 3-3 split with the Dodgers where both had walkoffs (Braves win first series L, W-wo, W,; Braves lose the second series W, L-wo, L) and the most significant win streak, an 8 game winning streak where they clinched with John Smoltz at the mount to pitch a complete game 5-2. As we all know the second to last game of the season.
That's all I have for today. I thought I'd touch on some 44 and outside narratives but that can be for another day. Braves will have the next 2 days to play and then the next two games off. Lets keep sweeping and beat the Yankees to continue the streak.

Winning Lesson 101 | 101 Games of Overcoming .500: 20/20 clearing the vision; 2021 The Vision
Hi everyone X 22 Report back at it again for some more insightful numbers to the Atlanta Braves 2021 season. Plenty of deciphering to do in this installment so lets jump right into it
From April 10th to August 4th the Braves played 101 games of seeing .500 for the first time, to climbing back to 500 on several occasions, seven times as a matter of fact. August 5th would be the first time all season the Braves would finally overcome .500, and they haven't seen it since. From here we're going to look at depth the number of games of reach .500 and so on. In total the team played 100 games to get back .500 and 101 games to overcome .500 (hence the title).
Prequel - Seeing .500 for the first time to .500 8 games (4-4) gm 8: Win 5-4 vs PHI Atlanta loses 4 straight, wins 4 straight to get to .500. They go on to lose their next 4 games. It would be nice if the 8th game was beginning of the season they'd be a game .500 with numbers I'm presenting. The 44 is first scene
It Begins; Mediocrity 100 - climbing Back to .500 to .500 16 games (12-12) gm 24: Win 10 - 0 vs CHC. Win 3 to get to .500, lose the next 4 games Tied for first for the first time this season. They stay tied for first the next game even though they lost and had a losing record.
10 games (17-17) gm 34: Win 6 - 1 vs PHI. Lose their next 3 games.
14 games (24-24) gm 48: Win 3 - 1 @ BOS. Win 4 to get to .500 Braves lose game 44 in extras 6 - 4 vs PIT in 10 innings. The game was tied 4 - 4 in the 9th. The next game (gm 45) Braves score the most runs in the season and have their biggest lead winning 20 - 1 vs PIT
10 games (29-29) gm 58: Win 9 - 5 @ PHI. Win 3 to get to .500, lost the next 4 games Won the the series before against the Dodge 2 out of 3. Lose the Series to Phillies 2-3 on walk-offs ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- to .500 30 games (44-44) gm 88: Win 5 - 4 vs MIA. Win 3 to get to .500 The game we lose #13 Ronald Acuna on the season and the longest stretch to get back to .500
20 games (54-54) gm 108: Win 7 - 4 @ STL. Win 2 games to get to .500, and two more wins thus overcoming .500. A 4 game winning streak. The ultimate battle to defeat mediocrity and finally get over .500
The Ultimate Mediocrity - Breaking the 16 game record of consecutive W-L or L-W The Breakdown of the 20 games.
L, L, W, L, W, L, W, L, W, L | W, L, W, L, W, L, W, L, W, W
In these 20 games we see a pattern that can be repeated, and fortunately we stopped that by winning the game that got us over .500. I have underlined the games where the Braves had a 18 consecutive W-L streak crushing the record of 16 consecutive games held by 3 teams, The 1974 Phillies, 1981 Dodgers, and 2010 Rockies.
Braves see first place by themselves for the first time 10 games (62-56) gm 118: Win 6 - 5 @ WSN. 3rd consecutive win of a 9 game winning streak. Riley's big game at the pate and the field helps put the team in first and 6 games over .500. This was also with 44 games left on the season.
in between these games we see The comeback game to get us over .500. The 6th game to get us tied for first and be tied for first for 3 games. That's 90 games from the last time they saw first and 94 games when they took over first from sharing first for the first time.
Looking at the amount of games of getting back to 500 100 games- 16+10+14+10+30+20=100 Splitting the games in half 50/50 16+10+14+10=50 & 30+20=50
The Braves go .500 7 times., between the records of 4-4 and 44-44 the Braves go .500, 4 times. There's 4 times the .500 games end in the digit 4. 4, 24, 44, & 54. 7 and 4 is 74' The Hammer gets 715. The 4-4 and 44-44 games final score was 5-4 like a sign to the 54-54 recprd. The first .500 game score being 5-4 Aaron's rookie debut with the Braves and last .500 game being 7-4, his final season with the Braves.
The Braves longest losing streak is 4 games done 4 times all shown above. They've also had 3 4 game winning streaks all shown above.
Adding the years 8, 16, 10, 14, 10, 30, 20, 10. From the end of Hank Aaron's Career and last season with the Braves and career you can get to 2021. 1974 + 8 = 1982 (division title), 1974+16 or 1976+14=1990, then 14 consecutive division titles (1991-2005), 2005+16=2021
Team of the 90's 8 consecutive division titles Only line we didn't see is 90' amd 94' (The amount of games we've seen from tying first and being in first by ourselves)
30 years have passed since 1991 and 3 decades have passed (10/10/10)
20 playoff runs in 30 seasons
20/20 - clearing the vision for the division Since the creation of this tread 41 games have been played. I really wanted that Saturday win and sweep. That game we would be at 40 games since the 44-44 record.. 20 games of 10-10 and 20 game record of 15-5. We saw the run for first place in 30 games and we saw our longest winning streak of 9 games all starting on Friday the 13th. Can't help but think of #13 Acuna with that number. I really wanted that win because we'd go 16-4 and you know how that divides up.
2021 is The Vision not just the Division 21 games have passed since the last time we've seen .500. We've gone 16-5. A fine record and we got to that 16th win I was looking for (4x4). It's always nice to go out on a win. We're 11 games over .500 and 33 games left on the season. (11+33=44)
Watching the last week of games about like a brief synoposis of how the season has went. Gm 1 Streak vs Streak, we lose to the damn Yankees. Game 2: We get screwed by the umps and instant replay again, though we almost come back. We lose 5-4 but we knock #54 Aroldis Chapman out the game (an ode to 54-54). We score 1 in the 9th and Freeman with the bases loaded, just gets a little to much lift on the ball. We lost the game but it felt like a moral victory.
The two day break was like the All-Star break. Just thinking how MLB has screwed the Braves.
The best team in baseball, the Giants, comes to town and the Braves win on a comeback and it felt good. Seeing the no doubter home run by Soler was surprising, and Pederson's difficult jumping snow cone catch to end the game felt with puprose. 2nd game was upsetting as you never want to be shutout and you do your best to move on from these games. Game 3 pretty much felt like the beginning of the 9 game winning streak. Heck a 9-0 win, lead by Riley's two run jack. Also the return of Ian Anderson, a much needed starter did well. I like the 9 runs on 12 hits. 9+12=21
Next up is the Dodgers. This is feeling close to the 91' season. #9 Pendleton in 91' pushing the team and #27 Riley in 21' pushing the team and playing like a team MVP. It's a 3 game series we have the road consecutive winning streak of 13 games (Acuna) and 4 consecutive series sweep going in, and the 14 consecutive road series wins. And guess what? These 3 games will bring us to 44 games after the 44-44 record, with a remaining 30 games left on the season.
Look back to the 44-44 record. How many games did it take to get back to .500? 30 games. 30 years back to 91' - The rival the Dodgers.

Have you braved your way the 2021 Atlanta Braves Season? Have you braved your way through the slow start and the lack of fans at full compacity? Have you braved your way through the comebacks and setbacks and comebacks and setbacks and comebacks? Have you braved your way through the politicizing of the All-Star game. Have you braved your way through the atrocious and useless instant replay system? Have you braved your way through the injuries? Have you braved your way through the Snitkerisms and Chip Carayisms? Have you braved your way through the shaky Braves bullpen?
If you have said yes or no to any of these questions, we definitely have the right supplement for you. What is this wonder supplemental medicine you might ask? It's called Bravium™! Bravium™ is a collagen rich collagen. Pulling your hair out because of blown saves(?), Breaking your bones in your hand by punching a wall because the Braves didn't score with the bases loaded and no outs(?), gashing your forehead while banging your head against a brick wall, because the pitcher got ahead and gave the hitter something to hit in a mile high stadium where the ball flies(?). Slicing your finger in the ceiling fan as you jump for joy in a Braves comeback win(?). Bravium™ will heal your wounds in no time. Get Bravium™ today!!!
Bravium™ comes in the outer bobblehead boxes of former Braves players that have worn the jersey #22. These plain white boxes once had the bobbleheads of Marcus Giles stuck waist high in a pile of his own chewing tobacco, 2009 Adam Laroche standing on a shirtless Casey Kotchman laying in a fetal position as he puts the #22 over his old #19 jersey. More outer boxes of bobbleheads include Nick Markakis finally breaking free of Brian Snitker's S&M chains of love so he can finally see retirement. Also the outer box of Jason Heyward bobblehead where a little league team are sitting around in a circle as Heyward gives them a motivational speech in a rain delay right before they win the Little League World Series.
Bravium™ once was at the asking price of $44.44, but since the Braves won the 22nd game (Friday nights game vs the Marlins) left in the season we now for a limited time have dropped cost to half-priced of $22.22. Also one lucky person who buys in the the next 24 hours will get the plain old white outer box of #22 Joc Pedersons Redemption bobblehead where his teammates pound on him as he gets the game winning hit in extra innings. (This was 23rd game left in the season leading into game #22 where he probably should have made the catch at the wall. It could have been game 22 left in the season if wasn't for the suspended game against the Padres, but then all my 44 stuff would be jacked-up if that game was completed)
Bravium™ who needs Hopium when you can have Bravium™!!!
Caution: This product may cause side effects of diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, night sweats, peeing your pants a little, and creating a tread full of confusing numbers where some numbers are actually kinda cool.

22 and 22, 2 World Series, 2 All-Times: Why I'm called X22 Report; it all leads back to #44 Hi everyone X22 Report here after a very long time of the Braves fighting for another pennant title. We're getting so close that the magic number tread has seen the light again. We'll get into more of that later. Let me jump right into it. Why am I called the X22 Report? It's because the former Braves/ eX Braves that have worn the #22 give me the powers to decipher. They relay the numbers and I do the digging.
So #22 hasn't been the most productive number in the Braves franchise (there was a tread I remember about this on the old board), but can their WAR from 1954 to present be at least half of #44 Hank Aaron's WAR with the time he wore #44 with the Braves? His first season Aaron wore #5 so that will be excluded, like the two final seasons he played with the Brewers. Also with these player it's only when they wore. Since WAR is a bit subjective I'll use #44 fangraphs and baseball reference as the range, and as for the #22 players I'll use Baseball reference sin it's much easier to add up.
Milwaukee Braves Gene Conley (1954-58) +5.5 WAR_________Sammy White (1961) -0.1 WAR_________Cecil Butler (1962) +0.2 WAR Wade Blasingame (1965) -0.1 WAR________Dick Kelley (1964) +0.6 WAR
A total of +6.1 WAR Atlanta Braves Dick Kelley (1966-68) +1.7 WAR________Mike Mcqueen (1969-72) +0.4 WAR____Jim Panther (1973) -1.0 WAR Rowland Office (1974-79) -3.9 WAR_____ Gary Cooper (1980) +0.1 WAR_________Brett Butler (1981-83) +2.5 WAR Ken Griffey (1986-88) +1.5 WAR________Geronimo Berroa (1989) +0.8 WAR_____Wail Weiss (1998-00) +3.8 WAR Jesse Garcia (2001) 0.0 WAR___________Marcus Giles (2002=06) +16.2 WAR____Willie Harris (2007) +2.1 WAR Josh Anderson (2008) +1.2 WAR________Casey Kotchman (2008-09) +0.7 WAR__Adam Laroche (2009) +2.0 WAR Jason Heyward (2010-14) +23.0 WAR____Nick Markakis (2015-20) +7.6 WAR____ Joc Pederson (2021) +0.2 WAR(fg)
note: Gary Hill (1969) n/a and Bob Porter (1981) no WAR given
A total of +63.8 WAR (excluding Rowland Office) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So we're at MIL 6.1 & ATL 63.8 WAR. 6.1 + 63.9 = 69.9 WAR
Now let's look at Hank Aaron's career WAR as #44 while playing for the Braves. Fangraphs - Aaron's career WAR 136.3 - 1.2 - 0.2 - 0.1 = 134.8 Baseball Reference - career WAR 143.1 - 1.4 - 0.1 - 0.4 = 141.2 Hank Aaron (1955-1974) +134.8 to +141.2. A range of 6.4 to fall in.
69.9 x 2 = 139.8 Yes the WAR falls in the half range, but wait, now let's subtract Rowland Office's negative WAR. 69.9 - 3.9 = 66.0 WAR. 66 x 2 = 132.0. Ohh nooo! Just shy 2.8 WAR of 134.8. Maybe we can give a +/- of 3.2 since I primarily used one site for the #22 WAR. Or perhaps a #22 can make up that WAR in 22'.
Interestingly enough there have been 22 former Braves players to wear #22 and play since Hank Aaron set foot in the Major League. I don't know if Gary Hill ever played a game in the Major Leagues all it shows is his Minor League stats and Mike Mcqueen took that number also in 1969. Also there are 22 players that qualified for WAR when you count Pederson. (A combined 56 seasons of #22 playing and 12 seasons where no one wore the #22)
22 games into and 22 games left in the season. Here we're going to look at game 22 and game 140. Not everything goes how you like it to. We lost game 44 and the 44th game after the 88th game, game 132 vs the Dodgers. But let's see how we did in these 2 games that make 44 together.
(Into) Game 22 - Braves Win 8-7 vs Cubs (record 10-12, 2 games out of first) (Left) Game 140 - Braves Win 6-2 vs Marlins (record 75-65. 4.5 game up in first and nice 4 run difference)
2 Wins Two games combined 14 runs to 9 runs. A +5 run differential; Both teams combined for 23 runs. Aaron's rookie number was 5 and he played for 23 seasons. More connections with this coming next
2 World Championships. 1957 and 1995 1957 The Milwaukee Braves win the World Series 4-3 against the New York Yankees. Aaron hit 3 bombs had a slash line of .393/.414/.786 an OPS of 1.200. Aaron was the MVP that season with a 8.0 WAR it was his first 40 bomb season, with 44 home runs. He would see the post season two more times. (lost 3-4 to the Yankees the following season) He hit well in both .827 OPS in 58' and 1.500 OPs with another 3 bombs in 69' vs the Mets. 1995 we all know how that went down. Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Justice, and a rookie Chipper Jones lead in WAR respectively. Maddux with his 4th consecutive CY young and his last CY young. Glavine's two wins in the WS. Justice's lone home run. Chipper hitting well all post season.
Let's do the same as we did with the 22 games into and left. 57 games into and left, and 95 games into and left in the seaon.
1957 - 57' (Into) Game 57 - Braves Win 4 -2 vs the Dodgers (record 28-29, 4 games out of first place) (Left) Game 105 - Braves Win 8-1 vs the Brewers (record 52-53, 4.5 games out of first place) 1995 - 95' (into) Game 95 - Braves Win 7-2 @ Phillies (record 47-48, out 4.5 games out of first place) (Left) Game 67 - Braves Win 9-1 vs the Cardinals (record 32-35, 6 games out of first place)
4 Wins 28 runs to 6 runs. (28 - 6 = 22) A +22 run differential. Both teams combined for 34 runs.
There's that number 22. So let's go back to the 22 games into and left. It was a total of 23 runs scored. Hank Aaron was born in 1934 at the age of 23 he won a World championship 34 + 23 = 57. 57'
Hank Aaron's RBI's as a Brave You know many still look at The Hammer as still the home run king. Pretty much a sad state where baseball went. Aaron still is the Total RBI leader and Total Base leader. He had 2297 RBI's for his career. With Milwaukee Brewers he had 60 and 35 RBI's. So let's subtract and see how many he had as a Brave 2297 - 60 - 35 = 2202. Hey X22 or 22X (2)22 = 44. or how about we just flip 2202 to 2022.
2022 will be an intriguing season. If we can get all our injured players back to being healthy, and our young core in the minors seasoned after the shortened season that cancelled their seaon in 2020. There's looking like there might be light at the end of the tunnel with Ozuna. Whatever we do with him, it looks like things can be salvaged. It's definitely something to look forward too. Being healthy and seasoned is what we all envisioned. the past couple of years.
Hank Aaron's Total Bases as a Brave The king of total bases at 6856 for his career. 6856 - 165 - 100 = 6591. 65' was the middle of his career and 91' of course the magical season. Ok let's flip this number around. the first 2 digits and then the last four digits 6591 to 1956. 1965. How about 2022 (from above) minus 1965. 2022 - 1965 = 57. 57' (originally messed this up in the calculator, but it still works, you do two flips to 2202 and 6591 and it's actually kinda better. A flip to 22 is still 22 and a flip 4 digit flip is 2022)
We see 57 again. 57 + 57 = 114. Game 114 of the season hmm. Game 114 - Braves Win 8-6 vs the Reds. The game we tied for first where Albies hits a home run off Lucas Sims. While I'm at let's go full circle and do the the games left (162 - 114 = 48) Game 48 (Left) Game 48 - Win 3-1 @ Red Sox (record 24-24, 1.5 games out of first place) The 4th time we saw .500 and the second 4 game winning streak. 44 again.
Also if we see someone wear the #22 in 2022 that will be 57 seasons.
My own experience with 44 and 22
Recently maybe a week or two ago I was playing an online video game. It was a game kinda like a mix between Twisted Metal and Mario Kart. For some reason that day we were given numbers before our screen name. The number would change each time you played. It would be like a random 309.108. My first number I was given was 44.22. Yeah that caught me off guard. I played again and the number changed.
Another story was my last post mentioned Hank Aaron in a post before his passing. I wasn't posting a lot at the time, it's the off-season. A couple of days ago I decided to see what I posted. I thought it was like a month before he passed. (I got it confused with Ron Paul when he almost died of a stroke and my last post was mentioning him) So yeah, I checked what I posted the other night, and I forgot it was on the day of his passing, January 22nd 2021. I poster way early in the morning at the time of 2.20 AM in the Off-Season tread.
Crazy enough there's it was on the 22nd, but also at 2:20 AM. Not to diminish his passing or anything just something you kinda see. He was born February 5, 1934 - died January 22, 2021 at the age of 86. So close to his birthday.
Well that wraps up this segment of he #22. Most of this stuff I've written down over the last couple of days, but a few things I've actually stumbled on as I typed this out. I'm on vacation this week or staycation. I actually have more thing's I've deciphered and I planned on typing it now. But with the number 2 I guess this will be a two part. See you later on tonight or early in the morning.

Shouldn't Office's negative still be counted? Yeah I'm pretty much done editing now (until I proofread and see all my typos). I left him out for the soul reason that he is the spoiler, but I made sure I gave the reason why I left him out. Rowland Office is definitely +3.9 WAR working in the office relaying me these numbers I'm deciphering. I have to post unfinished many times, because this browser is kinda crappy. It locks up for a few seconds then it just keeps doing more and more as I move around checking the tabs. When I restart the browser everything is good again Hopefully you'll like my next update installment: Some things are just in plain sight.

The Magic Number Appears; Everyone is looking to spoil (even the weather): It's time to spoil the spoilers! Hello everyone X22 Report back again. I had said I'd be back within a day and well that did not come to fruition. When games are developing as they are, you have to wait things out. Today we're going to look at some old tread from the message bored and specifically the magic number tread. First let's start off with Hart's Middle Finger.
Story Time In the beginning there was The Old Bored, and The Old Bored broughteth many people in of many backgrounds to unite on common ground, Baseball. The Atlanta Braves Bored was just 1 of 30 of The Boreds, and the people could cross over rather seamlessly from bored to bored, for some good ole fashion debating, lurking, and trolling. As time went on trolls would manifest themselves as fans of their rivals, and cause massive disturbances in the civil respect the Boreds once had. In-fighting would ensue, and would cause many problems on The Boreds. Moderators would instill some order but as time passed on it became less and less. The foundation was deteriorating and the IT website developers would come in to "fix" the functionality of the roads of communications. Though these IT's were drunk, and things only got worse from there on out. As time went on and the The Boreds were withering away, so were the many vanishing away. One Braves fan screen named, Hart's Middle Finger would see visions of the end. He traveled far away to a land called the ProBoards. From there he built a a virtual town where the many Braves fans could unite on and have some order and joy.
On March 4th, 2018, Hart's Middle Finger would become fhe first member of The New Bored. The New Atlanta Braves Bored, or what have you will. Then on the next two days 4 members would join. March 5th the first member, jahgentle, and the second member, TheNightmanCommeth. On March 6th, Fumbduckery and hokiedan. would become the 3rd and 4th members. They were welcomed in, on the Welcome tread, and from there they would be on a mission, to build The Virtual Arc. Will call these four the four disciples. In jahgentle's second post of the welcome tread, and the Pretty Canadian Warrior Princess said this, "I hope Bravter(?) joins. Is that his name? The Ferris wheel cornfield party dude.". The 4 disciples would travel on The Arc to The Old Bored and plant the seeds. They would talk about the impending doom and warn everyone to get on the Arc. I saw this and the seed was planted. I clicked the link, but I did not join as The Old Bored was still intact. 18 days later on March 23rd after jahgentle would hope I would join, The Old Bored went away in a flash and I was befuddled and lost in a ocean of despair. Hanging onto the last tread of the bored I was able to float away and see The Arc in the distance. I swam to the Arc with the tread page in and hand and the disciples pulled me up into the Arc and I was saved. To quote HMF he said this in the welcome page. In my first post of The New Bored in WNC's tread, 'No more MLB Atlanta Braves message board--they quit us!!' I gave my condolences and talked about the information from the last tread that I still had. It was to politics section and you guessed it, I was posting about number of posts everyone had that was left on that page. Here's my quote about the total posts. Deciphering the post counts. I'll get into my post count first. 4646 at 6.56 AM we have two 4's and two 6's 44 Hank Aaron 66 the season the Braves moved to Atlanta. And the time 6+5+6=17. The amount days between when jah hoped I'd join
Now I'm going to look at my posts from The Old Bored added with The New Bored (including this post) 4646+3466=8112 First the 3466. 34' The year he was born to 66' the year he was an Atlanta Brave. Now the 8112 flipped 2118. 21'-18'. The time frame of this bored. I haven't posted on any thing but this tread since its inception so my first post is 3456 and that with the old post. 8102. The numbers flipped and you get 2018. The beginning the The New Bored.
WNC post count compared to str0ker Look at how close their post counts are Stroker 128,511 posts to WNC 128,144. Let's subtract them. 128,511-128,144=367 367 is the first home run Aaron hit in the 65' season in the last season with the Milwaukee Braves. It also was the next home run he'd hit in the 2nd half of his career as far as games played. Also 367 x 2 = 734. 734 was the first home run he hit with the Milwaukee Brewers.
The posters that boarded The Arc Here we're going to add up the total of Old Bored posts to the New Bored posts. Only the ones that crossed over. Funny enough 5 of the 7 posters crossed over. That's a pretty good ratio 5/7 = .714. 71.4%. 714 HR tied with Babe Ruth. Nerman the wizard with exactly 7600 posts where 76 was Aaron's last season, and str0ker the robot who short circuited in the flood.
Old Bored + New Bored bravter: OB - 4646, NB - 3466, Total 8,112_________peteorrisgod OB - 17,952 NB - 380, Total 18,332 south6987 OB - 14,931, NB - 60, Total 14,991______wncbravesfan OB - 128,144, NB - 19,810, Total 147,954 hollins13(aka judas) OB 2294, NB 133, Total 2,294
Now we're going to add up the sum of posts as single digits. bravter 8+1+1+2 = 12 peteorr 1+8+3+3++2 = 17 south 1+4+9+9+1 = 24 wnc 1+4+7+9+5+4 = 30 hollins 2+2+9+4 = 17 --------------------------- The sum total = 100
Remember the 100 games back to .500 post in here? Look at the numbers The first three numbers (12,17,24) were the first three wins and loses to get back to .500. 12-12, 17-17, 24-24. From 4-4 to 24-24 is 40 games. and 30 was the longest stretch of games to get to 44-44 (starting at 29-29) and the other 30 was 10 games from 24-24- 29-29, and 20 games from 44-44 to 54-54. Also you can't forget the 30 years after the 91 season. What about hollins 17? When the Braves were 17-17 they were playing against the Phillies and won 6 - 1. For those that don't know hollins was the Phillies troll. Funny also how we see 4 Braves fans and a banned troll come along.
