I like it, I would definitely offer Waters or Pache preferably Waters. I like Pache's elite D we can work with him at the bat I do not think they can offer Contreras right now, As for pitching I would offer both Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright. Even Touki No way I want to part with Langeliers and Harris. Really do not want to give up Muller and Davidson. I do not think we have seen enough of Shewmake to just dump him So how about this Bryse Wilson, Kyle Wright, Touki, Waters, Camargo and Demerritte Quantity for quality - got to give up something to get something

Reynolds has something like the 15th best WAR in baseball this year.
It's going to take a LOT to get him. Like one proven good major league ready player and a couple of high ceiling prospects.
Why would they trade a guy who is in the elite this year for a cluster of totally unproven prospects who are struggling a little just to prove themselves at AAA?
You have to keep in mind what other teams would be willing to offer for a guy like that.

Dansby probably knows Reynolds quite well. That wouldn't necessarily matter, but he could probably give some insight as to what type of guy he is, etc. I'd definitely offer up a nice package for him based on his numbers. Sounds like a nice player, and the Braves don't just need a guy this year, they need a guy going forward.

Would be funny as hell if Fried tosses a no-no after walking today's game off.

Quantity for quality - got to give up something to get something You can offer 20 ho-hum players to go along with 2 decent ones and that isn't going to work. No way, no how. Reynolds has something like the 15th best WAR in baseball this year.

Because real life is like a MLB manager on the xBox Because trades exist in a vacuum where no other teams or offers exist and teams would do things just because we want them to do them.

I think people are confusing horribly what it takes to acquire a highly paid, probably over paid veteran on the backside of his career or a veteran rental about to become a FA compared to a young cost controlled player who is already showing to be among the elite in MLB.
A Reynolds trade would occur with a team who has a couple of real good young major level proven players at one position and needs a very productive OFer drastically. We don't have that. Someone would have to give up a Riley or Anderson type player and then also either Pache or Waters.
Reynolds was a 4.1 WAR player his rookie year and is on pace to be a 7.5 WAR player this year and is under contract through 2025.
I mean come on!!!

Something along the lines of both Pache and Waters plus Fried, I would imagine. I have no clue. Trades are hard.

It's one of those situations where the Pirates would have no reason to want to trade him unless somebody offered something crazy.

As I said the price for Reynolds would be steep...probably too steep, and the only way the Pirates would agree to such a thing is if they feel they are not ready to contend for quite a while (which probably is not true with their farm)...so making this deal would be difficult if not impossible for the Braves, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Teams have made stupider moves in the past.

Asking for Reynolds would be akin to someone wanting to trade for GAPOZ. In other words, it ain't gonna happen.
