He has not been vintage Max but he got off to such a crazy bad start I think it was up around 9 after his first 3 starts. Still think he will be better and it did qualify for a QS last night. Got to limit the homers though. And as I type Ender HRS. We'll take it Fried's ERA over his last 7 starts is 2.76 and that's with a bad outing against Washington where he gave up 4 runs in 3.2 innings.
He's had 5 outings during that run where he gave one earned run in each game.
I knew he had some good quality starts as of late did not realize he was going that good in his last 7 Guess that 4.68 ERA is inflated cause of that crazy bad start. Even his last one would have been winnable with some legit offensive and bullpen support so he is not a problem.

What a series Marte had, displaying all 5 tools at the age of 32.
He was always the play over Ozuna, it's really a shame we don't have him instead of the wife beater. I've been on his bandwagon for years, I'd love to see us get out of Ozuna's contract and sign Marte.
I like Marte and he would be a good consideration this off season - we got a bit too giddy over the unmentionable player over last year . My hunch is that we will get out of the unmentionable player's contract for next yr - you have to assume there will be a yr long suspension given the Sam Dyson precedent. But how did we know what would happen with Mr Unmentionable. First we had no idea he would fall off the map that far with his production. Then, the other stuff. I just hope Pache can be much better when he gets his second chance cause the mix and match we have now is never going to be good enough, Almonte and Heredia are backups. I would keep Heredia but move on with Almonte once Pache is deemed to be healthy and ready for his next chance.

Tucker Davidson on the bump for the Braves against the Sox on Tuesday. Davidson has a 1.53 ERA in three outings (17 2/3 innings) giving up 3 runs and striking out 14. Hope the kid can get his first W since he was denied last time out. He is going vs a struggling Eduardo Rodriguez, ERA up to 6.03. He has been bad as of late I like Tucker's chances. Of course that is a loaded lineup. Tucker D has been good he could have won the game before too. What I like is that the moment does not seem to be too big for him he is not beating himself and that happens so much with young pitchers.
