Bryant and Gray would make for an interesting team, though, that's for sure.

Yes... if the measure of improvement is weight loss, we're good.

Well, there's one thing about Hamels. He's good people. I figure he will make it back as soon as possible. Same. Dude isn't doing it for the money, he wants to win. He'll be back as soon as he physically can. No doubt about that. From a Braves perspective, though, if there worst were to happen, it won't effect the Braves too much. Honestly, if it forces the Braves to give an opportunity to a young, unproven, guy, I'm okay with the way things are. lolol it's $18mm... I'm pretty sure the money has a lot to do with it.

Yes... if the measure of improvement is weight loss, we're good. If being fit causes him to play like the 2018 version rather than the 2019 version then what’s wrong with that?

Did I say there was anything wrong with that?
I don't think I did.
I'm just going to judge how good he is this year based on how he performs, not on off-season weight loss... which is really the only thing anyone is basing anything on right now.
Speaking of which... It would be pretty disappointing if his play last year was down because he showed up fat and slow.

Hey, it may all be just talk, but all I said was that it was an encouraging sign that the Johan people are seeing now resembles the more successful 2018 Johan. Sorry to be optimistic....

I’d say we could base some hope also on the way he destroyed the ball at Gwinnett and then Atlanta at the end of the year last year.

What put it over the edge for me was Drew Waters. Did Waters do something I'm unaware of? Or are you of the mindset that you're impressed enough by Waters that trading Pache wouldnt sting as much? Because that I am right there with you on. I've heard nothing but praise about that kid and the comparison to Chipper in regards to his confidence has me excited. I think the Braves can afford to trade one and at this point with recency bias of course due to Waters hype I think I'd rather trade Pache.
