Mark Bowman @mlbbowman Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos will wait until early next week to announce the 2019 coaching staff. He has been meeting with manager Brian Snitker and all of the coaches since around 10 a.m. ET. They have reviewed the season and gained a feel for next year's plans.
(10/9/18)

I don't see any way they get rid of Snitker, and I'm not sure I would either unless I saw a list of potential replacements. The guy will probably win manager of the year, and you just can't get rid of that. I may have some issues with his extremely old school management, but I'm not even sure I would make a move like that after a season like this one.
My hope would be that they replace Chucky, and keep the rest of the strong core that surrounds Snit.

In my mind I think Chuck stays with the reasoning being Folty's progression and Newk looking dominant at times. If I remember right he had a rep for working well with young developing pitchers. So those 2's season and more young pitching coming up makes me think he stays.

I honestly give his in-game managerial skills a C-, but probably an A and possibly an A+ for the way he relates to the players. I acknowledge that's important. He'll be back and I won't complain about that, he deserves to be back. Hopefully on a one or two year deal. I do still have concerns about his managing decisions.
I'd love to see Chucky get whacked. We're just pissing in the wind as long as he's our pitching coach.

I have no issues with Snit as manager. All I hope is that he improves his ability to manage the bullpen.

I have no issues with Snit as manager. All I hope is that he improves his ability to manage the bullpen. He's been managing for awhile and coaching even longer. He is not going to wake up one day and be a different guy. The best we can hope for is a pitching coach that is more than just an enabler of the same old tired methods. My hope is AA tells Snit that they love him, but they want to try a new hand at pitching coach and want him to have a lot of say so in pen management.

Well, I think there are things available to managers and players in the majors that isn’t in the minors. You don’t know what you don’t know, in other words. Will Snit learn and get better, or will he be stubborn and continue to make decisions that don’t work out?

Well all managers make decisions that don't work out. I would reword that to ask will he continue to make decisions that defy logic and proven factual data.

They HAVE to bring Snit back. This isn't even a question, IMO.
