UP NEXT:
RHP Anibal Sanchez (5-3, 3.00) is to start for the Braves on Friday, two days after a rainout caused his turn to be pushed back. He is 4-5 with a 4.34 ERA in 13 starts against the Mets. New York RHP Jacob deGrom (5-6, 1.82) is 5-4 with a 1.80 ERA in 15 starts against Atlanta.:

A 1.80 ERA but 4 losses. That's just mind boggling. Hope it continues tonight.

deGrom has to be one of the top 5 pitchers in the game. I'd love to see the Braves trade for him, but the prospect cost would be insane.

If the Braves offered Riley, Pache and Wright/Anderson + another top 15 I think the Mets would be all over it. Too much for me though.

Yeah, that's too much, especially when one of Wright/Anderson has the POSSIBILITY (only a possibility, of course) of turning into a deGrom. I really wanna see what Riley can do. If he pans out, we could move Camargo to SS and deal Dansby. I'm beginning to think that getting out of Atlanta may be the best thing for Dansby anyway. I like the kid, but he's still really strugglin'. He'll have a good game and you think he's getting straightened out, and then it's right back to where he was. He was 2-5 against Miami Tuesday, and then 0-4 with 2 K's last night. I think it's notable that he had no clue against Vargas, who throws almost all breaking stuff. I mean, if he's that helpless against the SLOW breaking stuff of Vargas, how the hell is he ever gonna hit the hard breaking stuff that aces throw?

IMO there is no more arguing who the SS of the future is I'm not going that far yet, but I'm getting close. IMO, the Braves should only keep 1 of Camargo and Swanson, though, especially if Riley pans out. Either of them has more value as a trade piece than as a bench-type role player.

It would probably only cost Riley, Pache, Anderson, Allard, Soroka and Touki. Actually, I crunched the numbers not too long ago. For the Braves to get deGrom, they'd have to give up, roughly, Wright/Riley/Wentz/+2 lower rated prospects. Honestly, I could live with that. I wouldn't like it, but I could live with it.

I think the Mets would ask for more. I am not sure it is a mathematical equation.

Would someone hypothetically replace wright? Like touki?
