There's no good answer right now for leadoff, other than Markakis. Camargo was an option but he's been struggling too. I would have tried Culberson even, but since he's been riding the bench he's losing his stride now too. But Acuna has been dreadful lately, I don't think he should bat first or second right now.
His July:
.205/.244/.359/.603
With 17 strikeouts in 39 AB's. Ouch.
I thought Acuna would have performed more like the Nats Soto has to this point. I was wrong. He looks over matched in some AB's and keeps swinging and missing high fastballs. He's still a work in progress. With all the hype I think everyone expected a lot more and not all the K's either and his defense has been shaky at times.

Marlins had 2nd and 3rd with NO outs in the bottom of the first and failed to score. Who does THAT sound like?

I see the talent and I think he’ll get it figured out, but he’s up against it right now.

Good Julio in the first inning!
Good command with all pitches, and some velocity, 90-93.

Suzuki makng Corbin labor, has a six pitch AB before flying out. Players on bench pissed off by long AB.

Corbin through two innings on 12 pitches.
On the bright side at least we won’t have to face their vaunted bullpen today.
