Wow! Well if the Nationals are the presumptive favorites to win the NL East the Braves just went toe to toe with them and took three out of four....and could have easily been a sweep. Let's keep it going! The gnats are missing some guys, but we did play this series without Ender or The Great and Powerful Oz, so I figure that evens it out. And no Acuna either

Let's keep it going! Yea...but all the pundits will downplay it because of the Nats injuries, especially Murphy. On the other hand there is no way Zimmerman could have done what Adams and Reynolds have done so there's that to think about too.

Yeah.... not going to be too cool if Winkler and Viz don't even get a chance today.... and if Snit is worried about a pitcher going back to back days, then he better hope Sanchez gives him 7 innings. Guess that’s why Snit is a manager and we’re all just fans commenting on a message bored. Meh, it was pure chance the way it worked out, as are most manegerial decisions.

My main point is that Snit is paid to look at the bigger picture as well as the moment. We, as fans, are only interested in the moment.

And I can’t wait to see how many spaces we fall in ESPN’s power ranking tomorrow. 🤔

Guess that’s why Snit is a manager and we’re all just fans commenting on a message bored. Just like people said about yesterday... We don't know that Viz and Winkler would have done any better... We don't know that someone else wouldn't have done any worse than Viz and Winkler did today. We don't know that Viz and/or Winkler couldn't have pitched on both days.

We, as fans, are only interested in the moment. I don't think you can make a blanket statement like that. I don't just look at the moment and want to burn out the bullpen. It's not like either pitched the day before (soft tossing in the pen isn't pitching), and I think many of us are smart enough to think long term. I criticized the manager for killing Viz's arm 3 years ago by pitching him something like 5 out of 6 days.

Of course it might have cost us he game today, or maybe not.😁

You can't prove what would have happened for a move that was never made.
All we really know is that Socolovich was used instead of some other options, and we lost.
I will readily admit however that we don't have any idea how either game would have worked out had something else had been done.

It can be argued any time you used Suckolvich in a tied game you made a bad decision unless it was the absolute last option.

Oh absolutely.
That was on our offense for not pushing across a single run. You can still however look at other moves and question them.
Definitely though... the O should have pushed one across before we entered the Socolovich zone.
