With the Braves winning sooner than expected will it cause other teams to start rebuilds like the one the Braves are doing sooner? I was thinking there are teams who much like the Braves before the rebuild just treading water going nowhere anytime in the foreseeable future and with the Success Of Atlanta and the process that Atlanta used (trading away almost everyone) could the Braves be in place to trade some pieces to a team following the braves process. If so we may be able to avoid overpaying for an FA like Harper. Looking at teams who may follow Braves rebuild the Tigers standout And I myself would love to see us trade for a Nick Castellanos, I know he is young but he will be a FA in 2020 and if Tigers started a rebuild he would most likely not want to sign there. He would be the perfect fit for Our Braves . can play an OF corner or 3B.
What teams do you guys see who might start to have a fire sale and what 1 player would you guys like to trade for from that team?

The Braves will pursue a trade for a player who fits if that player is available. Yelich was a player who might have made sense and the Braves made an inquiry. That's really all we can ask for. I've said several times that I would like the Braves to move Acuna to CF and find a better hitter who would be replacing Ender. However, Castellanos is probably not an upgrade over Ender.

Castellanos has definitely started the year strong, but I’m not about to make the claim that the Braves should trade for him based off of that. He’s posted above average years, but with the Braves prospect list and some ML talent as trade bait, I’m hoping the Braves could set heir sights a bit higher than Castellanos. He’s far from the perfect get.
You know who’s perfect tho? Bryce Harper.

We could do another complete rebuild in 5-6 years.

I am beginning to think that nightman is most likely stalking Bryce Harper.

I am beginning to think that nightman is most likely stalking Bryce Harper. I think he's just trolling us at this point.
Although Harper did jump all the way to 41st in WAR for this season (with no injuries to supposedly "skew" his standing)--he actually passed Schwarber, Candelario, Castellanos, Brandon Crawford and Jean Segura.
So maybe he IS worth eleventy billion dollars after all!
Now he can set his sights on catching guys like Corey Dickerson, Scooter Gennett, Travis Shaw, Daniel Robertson, Paul DeJong, Asdrubal Cabrera, NICK MARKAKIS, Ozzie Albies, Jed Lowrie, and Andrelton Simmons!

I am beginning to think that nightman is most likely stalking Bryce Harper. You just wait, by the end of the year Harper will be #1 in WAR and # 1 in our hearts. I was also a big proponent of the Braves signing Arrieta, while he wasn’t having a Cy Young level season and look how he completely overmatched the best offense in the NL.

I was onboard with Arrieta as well, and I am DEFINITELY ALL-IN on whatever it takes to get the incomparable Bryce Harper!

Yeah, but in this case the company would just be staying for ten years, tying up a third of our payroll and more than likely OPSing .740 the 1st year, .700 the 2nd year, and .670 the 3rd year. So it's not THAT big of a deal!!!

Other than that it's all swell.
