Anybody else following closely, we pick 8th. I think if Hankins rebounds he’s from Georgia, he’ll be the pick.

I want Singer, he’s falling a bit. AA drafted him out of high school so I doubt he would pass. His timeline would be along the Wentz, Wilson, and possibly Anderson track. We should be able to find 5 above average starters out of Gohara, Newcomb, Wright, Soroka, Allard, Touki, Fried, Folty, Wentz, Wilson, Anderson, and Singer.

Joey Bart might a solid option as well. Sign our current duo again and let Bart get some seasoning. Jackson, Cumberland, Hubert, and Contrares just have not cut it.

Singer did recently outduel consensus 1:1 Casey Mize, Libatore would be a good pick if he falls. Would make up for my loss of Mackenzie Gore last year, although I don’t think he’s on that level. And barring a setback I doubt he falls, so I still think Hankins is the pick currently.

I’d still prefer Singer. Just watched a piece on Wood and Prior which got me thinking back to the Medlen, Beachy, and JJ days. You can never have enough pitching. Just ask the muts...

99MPH pitcher still just aren’t sustainable as a starter. You’ll soon be able to cite Folty also.

Agreed, If he even reaches his potential. Still happy with a MOR guy who has potential for more. I’m content playing out his arbitration and getting a compensation pick.

www.mymlbdraft.com/MLB-Mock-DraftThis mock has Rocker, Singer, Bart, Hankins, and Rolison still available for our pick. I’m curious why Hankins has fallen. I don’t think we can go wrong honestly. Having a high schooler mature on a different timeline might be what we need down the road. Of course if we go Singer I believe his timeline would be closer to Anderson. Those guys are behind Newcomb, Fried, Gohara, Allard, Soroka, Wentz, Wilson, and Wright. Touki and Weigel are honorable mentions. That’s 10 guys who will need major league innings in the next 2-3 years.

Therefore private workouts will determine where he goes. If Brady Singer goes that late and we don’t pick him I’ll eat my shoe.

It’s time for us to sabotage Bart’s draft position with some “off the diamand” rumors.

Joey Bart looks really good. I've looked up the guys they said we might get in the mock draft and it's just, meh for me right now. Hard to see a good projection from these highschoolers with how small they are.
