Bummer was okay when used properly.
Unless I am mistaken; the Lopez deal frees up some money in 2025 by shifting that money to 2026, and he agreed to that with the offer of an extra guaranteed year instead of an option.

Kyle Muller has elected free agency, he had a decent season this year out of the bullpen. We seem to like to bring our guys back.

Major League Baseball is a very poorly run enterprise. The awards are strung out for 3 weeks after the season, rather than having an awards "extravaganza" to honor all of the winners and market the game. It's unbelievably stupid.

#Braves declined an $8 million team option on Travis d'Arnaud, but are not closing the door on re-signing the 35-year-old catcher as a free agent. They need payroll flexibility now.
As expected, they picked up $16M option on Marcell Ozuna and declined Luke Jackson's $7M option.

I'm a bit shocked we declined the club option on Travis Me too. Even if we resign him for $5 or $6M what does that say about spending if we're so tight we'd risk losing him for several million because we need to save a million here and there. Makes me think they are going to go the cheap route with signing any new players. I hope I'm wrong about that. |
