Looks like I missed a very forgettable game yesterday. I was at a picnic at an old friend's house where he served Frogmore Stew. They did three large boils over a 4-5 our period. Shrimp, potatoes, onions, and andouille sausage. It was delicious. Also had smash burgers, hot dogs, hot sausages plus all the side dishes. Plenty of alcoholic beverages for those that like to imbibe including Jagermeister, Fireball, PB&J, and Jolly Rancher shots. Topped off the evening with a marshmallow roast and smores using the large square marshmallows. Great time had by all!
Now for the important stuff. No weather issues tonight. Partly cloudy with temps in the mid 60's and a bit breezy with 8-14 MPH west winds with gusts 15-20 MPH possible, especially early in the game time period. No precipitation expected.

My uncle used to make something very similar, we've always called it "shrimp boil" around here, it has small corn cobs in it too and a bunch of spices, great stuff.

We're playing against one of my least favorite players, he's worked out reallt well for the Tigers the last two years, the first two years of a 6 year $140M contract......lol.....but these dumbass owners will keep forking out these ridiculous contracts. He's getting $23.3M per year.
2022----> .238/.278/.393/.671 2023----> .220/.262/.314/.575
0.1 WAR with a 59 wRC+ this year, lollers......

We call that low country boil in these parts, and yes, it's delicious. Most add corn on the cob, but otherwise sounds the same. Delish and healthy to boot!

"Frogmore stew (also known as Lowcountry boil, Beaufort stew, and tidewater stew) is a seasoned medley of boiled corn, shrimp, sausage, and potatoes. It's often cooked in beer. Its name is somewhat deceptive: There are no amphibians involved in the making of Frogmore stew and the ingredients are drained before serving, so it's not really a stew at all."

Brunswick stew was also a local favorite when fishing out of Brunswick GA as a kid.
