He wants to argue, he wants to irritate people and he's always lusted for the Faillies. He's just a troll. Whenever he looks like he wants to actually debate something, it's just because nobody is biting on his B.S. so he has to try to lure someone in. I've continued to talk ABOUT him but not WITH him because he doesn't debate or ever act like he has literally any sense at all, he just twists everybody's words and points to try to rile people up. If you guys never quoted him I'd never have to see his gibberish. I wish when I put someone on ignore that their posts wouldn't even show up when quoted. But since his posts do show up when he's quoted I'll just go ahead and keep talking about what a jackass he is. |

I allow quite a bit and that includes a bit of jackassery, but I will call it out.
If comments are fair and logical even if I disagree, I don't care who makes the comment; I'll respond respectfully.
I will however call it out when someone is being intentionally obtuse, completely contradictory, or just trying to stir crap to get a reaction. That's basically trolling and I have little patience for it.

Friction between the two sides has grown in recent weeks over his contract, the upcoming world baseball classic, his health, and his playing ability.

Angels probably not signing him long term anyways. Angels get an elite talent at a reasonable price of $17M through 2028. Braves get an elite talent and can add another $25M/yr they would have used for Fried to the loss of Acuna's $17M to sign Ohtani to a 12yr/$500M long term deal.
Note: This contract must be agreeable to Ohtani before the trade takes place. I'm not giving up Acuna for 1 year of Ohtani!

I stopped paying attention to little details because all sports are different, but is it legal for us to "negotiate" a contract agreement with Ohtani while he's still with the Angels? For some reason I'm thinking that's "tampering" or something like that. I'm sure it still happens even if it's illegal, it's just done behind doors and all other means to keep it hidden.
I'd love to have Ohtani but that just ain't going to happen, no matter how we try to rationalize the money the Barves aren't going to do that.
I'm fine with that, if we move Acuna we'll get a ton and a half for him. Maybe even a 100 mph bullpen arm.
I think I saw this week since the Angels owner has decided not to sell the team it's more likely now they'll go ahead and sign Ohtani, they've never been shy about spending crazy money to say the least.
