All the snowflake writers out there just focus on our fanbase as being racist because we do the chop, they don’t even talk about the game. I love that level of butthurt for them. I hope we win 7 more championships in a row and our chant haunts them in their sleep every single night. Yeah, it's just so much easier to throw around the word "racist" than it is to actually talk to people. I mean, there MUST be ill intent. I know the first thing on my mind when I do the chop or see it is that I want to denigrate Native Americans.........but that's just me Isn't it strange that the people who think like this are the woke crowd, not the people who are involved? I have never given this stuff a thought. I guess that just makes me that much more callous and horrible, though. These people literally spend every moment of their life being miserable, looking for one thing after another to be offended by, stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with them, and then try to make the rest of us just as miserable as they are and demand the whole world change so that they aren't butthurt. I'm pretty sure we all recognize they are going to be butthurt their entire life no matter what, that's just who they are. Eff them in the earhole.
Oh, and:

Still appreciating this like it happened yesterday. Takinf the extra time to soak it in because od how long it took to get back and not being old enough to fully appreciate 1995 in the moment(9 y/o)-- over the years I did come to fully grasp it. But this one is more meaningful to me since I was able to enjoy it from the get go.
Also thinking of teams like Texas who went to it in back to back years only to come up short both times, the rays I think are also 0 for 2? As we know, this is the hardest professional sport to repeat in. Of course that absolutely isn't saying they won't be back in it next year-- in fact depending on how this off season goes, they should be a favorite to go back.
But until pitchers and catchers report for 2022 im going to enjoy this one, and let the business side here in the off-season take care of itself

In 2011 they were one strike away from winning the World Series TWICE in game 6 before David Freese happened.
Our win this year is Washington's first World Series championship, I hate that he had to miss the celebration, it has to be super special to him, he's put so much into this team and the game.

God, I HATE the Cardinals with every fiber of my being. The good news is they are strapped with a couple of ginormous veteran contracts and are not very good beyond that, and their farm system is horrible all the way through. They won't be a factor for a long time, whilst we WILL be. For a long time. We will be laughing at them, a lot.

He's good but not worthy of his contract.

Did not realize Wash had to miss it, that sucks. Did they say why?

He’s put up good numbers, but when you’re getting paid like one of the best 5 players in the game you have to put up Superman numbers. And he’s getting up there in age, seems like around 33 now? And showing some decline already. Those mega contracts have never been a good idea.

Doesn’t that still make his total something like 13/$270? That’s still pretty good work if you can get it.

Ya know.... I really don't know much about the baseball gods wanting to pay a debt they owed us. I have a different take on this team altogether. That almost makes it seem like we got some lucky breaks, or the Dodgers and Astros blew it.
I saw a group of guys get added to this team who brought some serious hutzpah, beginning with Joc. Then Soler showed up knowing he brought the big stick.... the Rosario came back from his injury with a high level of confidence and Acuña like enthusiasm. This attitude was missing before that even before Acuña got hurt. It was missing last year as well. That business like professionalism is great for 162 games, but it doesn't lift you in the post-season. These guys brought a "I'm a bad mother effer" attitude to the team that it sorely needed, and when they went on the win streak they fed off each other and even infected the sometimes more stoic players on the team.
These guys looked at the baseball gods in the sky and those in New York who so often gave us a raw deal and said "FU Jobu, we'll do this ourselves.."

That’s still pretty good work if you can get it. I had to look it up, but the deal that just ended was 8 years $135M. The thing is the first year of that was his age 24 season. Giving guys 8-10 year deals at age 30 or 32 has been a disaster pretty much every single time.

You did hear Joc say that onstage at the Truist Park celebration...yeah now that I think about it, you did hear it, I remember you commenting that he further "endeared" himself basically deeper into Snit's doghouse with that. The crowd went berserker when Joc said that. As Reggie Jackson once said, "It ain't bragging if you can do it." We were bad mofo's and bad bitches and did it to back it up!!!
