The parade just pulled in right outside of The Battery. It was so cute seeing Gore being lifted up by Vogt so he could see the crowd better. gore is actually smaller than Ozzie aint he? Lol Yes... and Joc tonight cemented himself in Snit's doghouse at the celebration at Truest as when asked to speak he yelled something about "bad mothereffers. Will Smith I think it was later on did the same thing, but you know Snit will blame it all on Pederson starting it.

He had 13 HRs and about 10 doubles to center and right field. Once he sees the results like that it has to make him more comfortable with not trying to pull everything, because he has power to the all fields. Those kind of guys are a pain to deal with. Pujols, Ryan Howard, Stanton, think how hard it is to pitch to guys like that. They gave us fits because there are plenty of times no matter how well you pitch them they’re going to burn you. When a guy is pull happy you have a set out pitch you can set up and beat him with. Riley can still be vulnerable to the breaking stuff away, but he’ll scorch you if you miss a little or if he’s sitting on it. He was pressing a bit in the World Series, I thought. I say that because he looked like the old Riley chasing that low and away stuff on several occasions. He's forgiven, though............world championships will make a guy pretty damn forgiving, no? It's exciting to think about the future of this team with guys like Riley, Acuña, GAPOZ, and Dansby already established, guys like Pache, Langeliers, and Waters on the way, just to mention a few, and that's only the everyday players. Wright just might have finally found it, and Anderson, Fried, a healthy Soroka, and guys like Davidson and Mueller pushing hard. I'll never forgive the Braves for giving Wilson away for a guy they really have no plans for in Rodriguez, though. That was just asinine. He did press quite a bit but still managed to hit .320 for the series. He had three doubles and three RBI's, but did strikeout 11 times in 25 ABs. It seems like he did still get a few timely hits. Honestly it's hard to remember everything looking back, it's such a blur because so much went on.

Sure hate that Kevan isn’t part of the celebration. I did see Jeff Mathis. He had all of 9 AB's. Didn't see Lucroy (5 AB's). I also thought they mentioned Spencer Strider (2.1 IP and a win). Didn't see RR at all.

If I was him I'd rather stock shelves at Walmart for minimum wage than to pitch for us next year.
What a shame.

Brilliant how we gave away a promising young pitcher to bring in Rodriguez and humiliate him, don’t you think?

I don't think Riley's post season was much different from his regular season or his career. It's always been a case of them adjusting and him adjusting and as time has passed the time it takes him to adjust back has gotten shorter and shorter. Some just remember a very short period more because of increased magnitude of games and a season about to end. There is no need to forgive him for jack crap. He was awesome and the overall results and stats show that.

Brilliant how we gave away a promising young pitcher to bring in Rodriguez and humiliate him, don’t you think? The cops were probably ordered to shoot RR on site if he showed up at Truist Park yesterday. I just don't get the whole situation. Either he was injured or killed some family members of someone in management.
We've been squawking that he should have been on the roster instead of Lee or Davidson, or possibly even Gore, but in looking at things closer, he was a much better choice than Webb even. RR was great in August after we got him. He had 13 outings, pitched 13 innings, and was 1.38 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, .152 BAA. He had a rough September, he got HR happy, he gave up 5 HRs. But even at that he still finished the month 3.97 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, .244 BAA. Which was way better than Webb's September. He still finished the season 2.94 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, .209 BAA. And the ERA was actually 2.69 for the season until he gave up two runs on the last day of the season.
I don't expect we'll ever hear an explanation, and it's always going to be aggravating, especially if Wilson turns out to be average or better. RR's final numbers all together for us were 3.12 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, .230 BAA. I don't see how that got banished to the 7th layer of hell while Lee, Davidson, Smyly, Gore and Webb were on the playoff roster.

Well we won the WS so everything we did was obviously the right thing to do and Snitker is the best manager in the history of ever.

Well we won the WS so everything we did was obviously the right thing to do and Snitker is the best manager in the history of ever. What you did there, I see it.
But I know a lot of people will actually feel that way.
I don't mean to take away from our accomplishments. In fact, I think it speaks even more to what our PLAYERS were able to overcome. A lot obstacles were put in their way by the guy doing the managering. Thank god AA pulled all the right strings at the right time too.
Watching the player interviews, it has become clearer than ever before how much they love Snitker. And seeing that, I'm willing to give Snitker even more credit than I ever have for being a great human being and a great leader in terms of creating a great atmosphere, a lot of confidence for the players, and being a great cheerleader. I always said all of that matters and makes a difference, and I feel that way even more now. It's a huge part of the chemistry thing, which i think is generally way under rated.
But, he still made things a whole lot more difficult than they needed to be with his X's and O's moves, and I still think it's fair to point them out. And I will continue to complain about them in the future too. I think most people who pay any attention at all to details would agree with all that by now.

Totally agree, uck. I’m ecstatic that we won the friggin World Series, and always will be, but that doesn't mean I won't criticize, even if I turn out to be wrong!

I don't think anybody who has criticized was wrong, the criticisms were legit, our players were just able to overcome more than they should have. Maybe it all evens out in the long run though, and it's possible we even come out ahead overall. Maybe teams who have good X's and O's managering guys have to put up with their boss being a jerk and it makes them mentally miserable all season. And that matters. I'm willing to recognize that and acknowledge that. Now more than ever after hearing the players talk about Snitker this week. But it's still perfectly allowable to call out the crazy moves he makes!

I agree that, as fans, we should call out crazy moves from time to time. But there were a lot of people who went completely over the edge and bashed Snit in EVERY post. The man usually had a method to his madness and yes, it sometimes blew up in his face. But the man is not a moron. He has to consider things in his decision making that include things that as outsiders, we may not realize. As much as the players deserve most of the credit for this magical run, I simply don’t think it happens without Snit at the helm. They could have thrown in the towel in July or the new players may not have gelled as they did with another manager. Snit, if anything, in 2021 proved he is a leader. No, he’s not the greatest tactical manager, but he certainly is more than a punchline. He’s only one of two men who led our boys to the Promised Land and for that alone, deserves a measure of respect in my opinion.

I don't see any reason why you can't be good with players and with Xs and Os, though. I will say that sticking with Will Smith worked out. I will also say that his roster management is awful. The Gore/Davidson/Lee thing can't be explained. Period

As a manager, he can and should do better, especially with his roster management. The man plays favorites. For every guy that loves him, there's one that hates him who we never hear about. How do you think guys like Rodriguez, Camargo, and Santana feel about him? Especially a guy like Rodriguez, who damn well should have been on the roster. Playing favorites is not acceptable to me.

Regardless of Lee and Davidson type stuff, I am very happy that Snitker won a championship. Nice guys need to win every now and then.
