Riley should be absolutely embarrassed. Swinging at 3 pitches nowhere near the strike zone. UNBELIEVABLE! Heck yeah, I bet he's really embarrassed with what 6 homeruns in the last 5 or 6 games. I'm sure he's really embarrassed. Heck, he should have 12 or 13 homers in the last 6 or 7 games. Riley is not the problem. As for the problem - I am not so sure that guys at the bottom of the lineup should be embarrassed either - they are just not good enough to carry the load they have to carry right now. They are giving 100 pct but its not good enough to beat the Mets this yr

Braves weren’t going to win 4 of 5 vs the Mets. We all knew that. Probably not when almost half their starting lineup consists of bench players.

Blame management for keeping him around. I do not blame him for cashing a paycheck. Its the powers that be that should determine he cannot do the job anymore

What can we get for Morton and Smyly in one trade? You know somebody would like to have them both. I'm nuts for even thinking that I guess.

Discussions about masks and mandates will probably be a hot topic over the next few weeks. As this tread will soon be archived, I moved all those posts to a new tread in the politics/current events forum.

Arcia or Vogt were the ones to go to there instead of Panda, but Snitker is one hard headed sumbitch.
Pablo's OPS is .230 for June and July and it's .460 since May 1st.
But keep sending him up there as our #1 pinch hitter despite better options.

Understood and I apologize for the rants, but when they start telling fans they can't attend games in the next week or two I'm going to pitch a bitch everywhere!

And in 2020 they were 6th in OPS, and in 2019 they were No. 1 in all of baseball (.273 and .855) and that is enough to be the difference between 1st and .500ish.

Top of the order 8 for 23. Bottom of the order 0 for 10.

Sandoval current streaks as a pinch hitter:
0-19 1-33 2-39
These have to be approaching records, right?

Snitker is in an early Spring time tunnel. It is ridiculous, it makes no sense doing the same dam thing over and over again and failing. Pablo is worse than Ender was if that is possible. He had that early run, guess he thinks he will get lucky and get into a couple of pitches late

No Duvall, no d'Arnaud, no Ozuna, no Donaldson, no McCann, and no Markakis. While Almonte and Heredia are valuable bench pieces you just can't go the long run and be consistent with those guys. Not to mention the catching position. Besides a few good games from Contreras that had been dismal.
