Not all that impressed with AA so far. We get a .205 hitter who has no power and will be platooned with a .160 hitter in Eddie? Good to see Smith gone, but he hasn't been replaced. Oridizzi may be half way decent. I was hoping for a Ian Happ or better in the LF. We get Adrianza??? WHY??? It's laughable after last season to say you're not impressed with AA so far.

He has improved the team this deadline--not significantly, but I do still think we are better. Heck he got rid of Will Smith and managed to get something in return that could help us, that's pretty remarkable. He also didn't have much to work with, we have maybe 3-4 really good prospects and then the bottom falls out of the farm system, we don't have any current roster players we would want to trade in order to get back a good piece, and our payroll is pretty stretched out.

I agree with all that except possibly the payroll thingy. It's a sellout every night at Truist now, so we're loaded with cash. I don't have a problem with being prudent though, because it pays off in the long run.

I mean come on, just like two years ago we were around $112M and praying we could squeeze more out somehow. We have the 8th highest payroll this year in all of MLB.
I'm pretty impressed we've stretched out that far.

How long do we have Iglesias?
I liked Chavez and Davidson.

Seems like a bit of a psychotic overreaction, but to each their own.

Braves' Mike Soroka: Nearing simulated games Rotowire AUG 4, 2022 Manager Brian Snitker said Thursday that Soroka (Achilles) is expected to pitch in simulated games soon, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Soroka was facing hitters in early July, but his recovery process slowed when he was hit in the knee by a comebacker while throwing live batting practice. The right-hander isn't expected to return from the injured list until at least September, and a timetable for him to begin a rehab assignment will likely be discussed once he's pitched in simulated games.

Even if he makes it back this season it would be hard to imagine he’d quickly return to his dominance, if ever….still would love to see him on the team this year though
