Our guys did not hit tonight - no way we would have won this game - tip your hat to the Phillies pitchers (sarcasm)
Wright did look like a major league pitcher tonight had the one bad inning, at least there seems to be hope so got to keep throwing him in there to get better
This offense stunk, as for the Castellanos/Ozuna thing, yea I would have liked Castellanos, but with Ozuna at least it was a one yr deal
Castellanos is great so far, good for him. As for the future its Waters and Pache with Acuna in the OF, Ender I don't know where he will fit
Like it or not, do not be surprised to see Nick back on a one yr deal for 2021, of course it will be on a cheap deal. He and Ender might be role players subbing in the OF and doing some DHing
Yea, the DH is here to stay as I guess it
I forgot how many yrs Castellanos got, was it 3 or 4 yrs. Anyway, better day tomorrow and our offense has been inconsistent this week, sucked tonight and deserved to be Booed

Missed the game tonight, but I obviously didn't miss much. Two church league games tomorrow. That should be fun.

Looks like Dansby is finally back to normal. He'll get hurt pretty soon, I'm sure. Then all will be right with the world.

Looks like Dansby is finally back to normal. He'll get hurt pretty soon, I'm sure. Then all will be right with the world. I don't know how many times he's had hot streaks killed by being placed at the top of the lineup, other than to say that's been the case every single time.
He has a career OBP of .294 batting leadoff and .288 batting second. His career OBP is .341 batting 8th, but our manager is the smart one not me.
At this point we don't even really have a legit #2 hitter, when Ozzie is off we're in trouble in that regard. Personally I'd probably hit Duvall 2nd against lefties and Nick 2nd against righties. Nick has by far done better in the #2 slot during his career than any other spot in the order. But with us that's never been considered. In all his years with us he's hit 2nd about 50 AB's. I've never bought into this idea of putting all your power hitters or "best" hitters first and second in your lineup. I think OBP is really important for those two spots. With a Nick/Duvall platoon in the second spot we should get good OBP numbers from them.
Look at Nick's career numbers based on where he hit in the lineup, He's not fleet footed, bit at this point just get me a couple guys at the top who can get on base:
