I'm shocked by this, I thought for sure after his .163/.240/.255/.495 and 26 wRC+ at AAA last year he'd make it in the big leagues this year.
How can this be?

The Tebow thing is a waste of time, he has no dam business in baseball or as a pro athlete in anything at this stage in his life
He is a joke, I respected him at one time but not now, his legacy is that of a great Florida Gator and CF player
Guess his next step is the XFL?

"The Yankees spent more payroll on players while on the injured list last season than six teams spent on total payroll"

lol, AFTER we trade him of course.......
"It’s unfortunate timing for Wentz, who trended up after last summer’s swap. In his five Double-A outings with the Tigers organization, he spun 25 2/3 innings of 2.10 ERA ball while racking up an impressive 37:4 K/BB ratio.:

Pitchers should just go ahead and have it done at age 21... sort of like tire changes..

Pitchers should just go ahead and have it done at age 21... sort of like tire changes.. I wonder if there's ever been anybody consider doing it even though they don't need it just to increase velocity, because that seems to be an upside. Maybe a kid is a few mph shy of having it so they try to give him a boost. I wonder if a doctor would even go a long with it.

Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy without having breast cancer, so why not? The surgeon did a fine job on her, too 🤣

I see Chris Sale is also undergoing TJ - what a waste of time in the off season when they could have had him fixed in the fall, and have him ready for 2021
Red Sox fans might be wishing for a cancellation of what is going to be a dismal season anyway
Chaim Bloom is going to be their Coppy/Hart and those fans will not like it
Whether he is successful or not remains to be seen. The Mookie Betts trade yeilded one piece of damaged goods in Alex Verdugo (at least in the early going) though they look like the got a decent prospect in Jeter Downs
They have one decent SP in Eduardo Rodriguez at this time. Rest of the staff is shaky and injury unreliable

Per breaking news line on ESPN, I see that Noah Syndergard is set to have TJ surgery
Another talented arm having this at a pretty young age
In the end is it too much travel ball played before these kids even get to the pro ranks? Or in the end is it just that we can diagnose injuries so much better this day in time and we have better procedures to fix guys
I am sure guys had injuries back in the day and no one could diagnose it - guys just fell off and the old adage was his arm went dead
Got to wish Thor well even if he is one of the division rivals
Imagine Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale with today's sports medicine. Drysdale was fairly young when his arm went dead in the 1969 season, in 1968 he pitched that long scoreless streak and had a 2.15 ERA. Drysdale has been sort of a forgotten name of All time greats. He also was a tough luck pitcher should have had 4 or 5 20 Win yrs

The "is it travel ball" and all other reasons why has been debated ad-nauseam.
Whatever it is, it is what it is.
