Same lineup as yesterday, except for the pitchers spot.

I can’t believe pit of misery said he would lose his patience with a player, that’s shocking!

Could Acuna just be stupid? I mean his teammates are giving up on him doing it right. Did you guys see Donaldsons face and his lips after Acuna got doubled off on the line drive. After not running. And you know they all seen him watch again and hotdog on the HR. I read where Martinez took exception to it so Acuna may get one in the ribs today

I know everyone is upset about Acuna but Keuchel ignoring the runner on 2nd and stealing 3rd without a throw was also a big mistake you can't make in the playoffs. That actually DID allow a run to score that otherwise wouldn't have. 90 feet is important in the playoffs but people only want to attack Acuna's 90 feet. We all know he should have run but for some reason it doesn't sink in with him until it's too late. We all know Keuchel should have been holding that runner on 2nd also yet almost nothing is being said about him being oblivious in that situation. He's a veteran and that shouldn't be happening either! If the guy legitimately steals a base that's one thing but ignoring him and giving him the base without a throw is also a lack of complete focus in that situation.

Secondly, guys like Martinez have no business bitching. He's a hot dog if I've ever seen one, and I don't think Acuna missed punk-ass Molina acting as if he'd just won the World Series when he threw Acuna out in the 1st inning, so their bitching falls on deaf ears for me. Finally, I don't mind guys admiring homers........... IF they're homers. I'm old school and probably wouldn't do it, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it. Latin players play that way for the most part, anyway, and I'm fine with that. Hard to shed the "old fogie's game" label if you refuse to accept the way others play the game.

Hard to say its OK "IF" they're homers because as it is well evidenced. you never "know". As everyone said on his previous benching "you gotta run" He is young, flamboyant and has $100 Million but lack of hustle is Machadoish and it is never OK imo

I love articles like that that insinuate things that never happened here:
Blame Acuña for the loss. - Nope... the bullpen lost the game. Not Snitker, not anyone else. Now if you want to discuss why Luke Jackson was left in the game to face the heart of their lineup even after giving up the HR, then maybe we can talk about Snitker, but it was the relief corp that lost the game.
Saying Snit should have pulled Acuña. - Nope... said the exact opposite. Said you can't do that here with this much at stake.
Saying we fans claim that hustle means a .200 player is better than a superstar. - Nope.. where the hell did that come from. All that is being said is that it's probably out of a players control when he hits a 105 exit velo ball that happens to be right at someone, but "hustle" and "effort" are within a players immediate control and are fundamental in terms of maximizing your potential for positive results.

That's true PA, but that isn't the norm for Keuchel. What Acuña did is becoming a norm. I think back to the idea that speed is such a great asset because speed never slumps. Well.... supposedly... unless Acuña has hit a fly ball 5 feet shy of clearing a wall.

A voice of reason A voice of reason,,,,,,HAHAHAHAHAHA This guy doesn't get it either. Talent is talent and just because the relief pitchers gave up 6 runs or his run didn't mean anything doesn't mean Acuna should jog to first on what should have been a double. Those relievers were trying their best and failed. No one questions his talent and the stats he put up that game but everyone, including those with any amount of talent, can put forth an effort to run hard or do the other little things that don't require tremendous talent. Unfortunately, it's not just Acuna. I've seen many who admired long shots and could have had triples but settled for doubles because they just didn't run hard when they hit the ball. Remember Scott Kingery's HR. He ran and never stopped. www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/video/kingery-hits-one-strangest-home-runs-youll-ever-see-phillies

We accept guys who suck and are doing the best they can, but what we perceive as not hustling pisses everybody off. We never stop to consider that this mental aspect of the game just might be the weakness of some guys.........we simply won't accept it because we all sucked at baseball compared to a guy like Acuna, and hustling is easy, right? Maybe it's not so easy for him sometimes. Maybe he sets the bar so impossibly high for himself that he loses himself in moments like that. I don't know, but I am by god glad he's a Brave.

I agree and called him down at the time. The whole reason he got the start was for his veteran presents and then he pulled that stunt, which as you said, did directly lead to a run.
