I can't stop laughing at that and it really hit's home. If i pick up a tool of any sort or attempt to fix anything that's pretty much the result and I'm not exaggerating.

I'm pretty handy, but I also have a temper, and if things don't go smoothly.......I've had some episodes that I wish to hell had been taped. I have taken bats, golf clubs, axes and sledge hammers and beaten the living crap out of and shot up many objects, like lawn mowers, stereo equipment, a box fan one time.

This show was just so awesome......it's unreal that it was so low budget and almost never got off the ground. There's nothing these guys did that wasn't hilarious.

I never watch TV but a friend told me to download it and give it a shot and I never laughed so hard in my life. I must have watched every episode 100 times and just left an entire season on loop for a month straight. Five minutes of one episode is funnier than every Hollywood comedy combined. It's just so damn authentic and realistic( we all know these guys) that you never feel like it's a TV show and really doesn't feel scripted or preconceived in the least. It can get so over the top ridiculous too but still feels real like a documentary or like you are just watching real people great writing, great casting and acting ..it's just perfect and I have no idea how they did that imo the greatest thing ever created

I never watch TV either, aside from sports, but my wife watches TV nonstop. So we have to have a decent package, and we've used DirecTV for years. For awhile DirecTV was showing the Trailer Park Boys episodes, and I stumbled on it one night during a commercial break for a baseball game. This has to have been at least 10-15 years ago. And from the first minute of seeing the show I fell in love with it. My wife does not usually like off the wall stuff, and even she fell in love with that show. We watched it religiously. Everything about it was pure genius. How those people stumbled on that concept and pulled it off so well is so impressive. We still have a bunch of one liners from the show that we say all the time.

Ricky was my favorite character. Like you said, I swore I knew that guy when I was growing up. And maybe there's a little bit of him in all of us for that matter. His Rickyisms are priceless.
Bubbles was a close second. Loved Lahey and Randy, then Julian.

We still have a bunch of one liners from the show that we say all the time. agree, all the characters are great but Ricky puts the show over the top. As for the sayings in the show ...oh man it's practically created a new language up here. I just happened to start watching it at the peak of my drinking and smoking daze as well so yeah relate-able in that way too. I was as out of it as those guys were at the time. Funny thing about that show is that I always considered it a family friendly, kid friendly type of entertainment despite the subject matter. I never had cable in the house or Hollywood movies as I hate their influence on kids but always let my step daughter watch it from the youngest age. it has no agenda. I wore the show out bad as it was all I watched but haven't seen it in about 8-10 years now so I am just about at the point where it will all feel new again...and so will smoking...

Some day when you watch the newer ones we'll have to talk about them. It all makes me laugh my balls off no matter how many times I watch them.
