Bill Hicks doing public access TV. One of my favorite videos on him. You can really see how hurt he was by Letterman booting his stand up routine. He was also battling pancreatic cancer. But still very funny, informative, surreal video.

I loved that show when it was originally aired and remember that episode. As to your question I don't really know...I don't think so. The last decade or so that's seen the USA in it's PC craze I never felt that here. I mean on paper and with your first amendment the USA seems more free speech whereas we technically have hate speech laws but I've always thought it seemed freer in Canada. Even with our new goofy PM nobody really cares what they say here nor will they be told what they can and can;t say. I think it comes down to people just being more laid back here and it's not a very political culture...we don't really have conservative or liberals here..not really. We have both parties but they aren't much different and Canadians just seem to vote whatever back and forth.

I dunno I think it might be getting bad in Canada. Steven Crowder is talking about the fines these comedians are getting for being "offensive". I just came across this video earlier so I was just wondering. Also Crowder is a comedian so it kinda fits in this section.

I don't know I just haven't felt that or seen it the last decade or so. I think what's going on now is that we have a PM who is PC liberal Obama like but comically he came on the scene too late. I mean just as the USA is shaking this PC daze off he is trying to sell it here and it's just not working. There is a false perception too among conservatives in the USA that we are very liberal here, almost socialist and it's just not true. Like I read so many articles on Breitbart ect about all this stuff that is supposedly happening in Canada and it's rarely if ever true. And we are too small here to use the divide and conquer issues esp based on race or religion and such issues. In a sense we do all know each other...we do all have relatives in every province.
We have things like black lives matter here and all that but it's usually about 10 people and a cheap gimmicky imitation of the USA. It's just not something I worry about and I've got a feeling the liberals we do have in our provincial govt are about to get the boot out the door.
