They may be hungry but historically neither has hit a lick during their careers, that's gotta come into play. I think Hech is in for sure though, and despite what I just said about his career, he's hitting since he came to us and a case could be made for him to start at SS. But there's less than a zero percent chance of that actually happening, as we all know. Hech is in. Hamilton is a tougher call. Does his speed and defense outweigh the power potential of Duvall or Riley? There's no way to know for sure. If Ender gets healthy, that probably knocks Hamilton out. At least one of Riley and Duvall will be in. Possibly both, depending on Camargo's status. I expect Duvall to be in and Riley out. Right now they're the same player offensively. Riley was wretched in July, hurt in August, and not good this month. Duvall was wretched in August and decent this month, even though he's only had 19 ABs. That's a tough call between those two, unfortunately neither look like a great option. It would be great to have Camargo back, but we'll be lucky if he's able to maintain his stroke and step right back in. I guess it kind of depends on how soon he can start taking BP.

Only thing is that Riley can back up either corner infield spot. His spot will probably hinge on Camargo's status.

The Giants should serve as a warning to any team that experiences success. You can't reward all those guys with big contracts. You have to decide who you're gonna keep and who you're gonna let go, and you have to keep your farm system healthy. The Giants are strapped to several big contracts, and it's killing them.

Fried with 17 wins. Wins don't matter as much in this era of 5 inning starters, but it's still pretty cool.

Newcomb always pitches better when he starts the inning.

He still to this day mainly talks about wins when he's talking about pitchers. He may throw in another stat here or there as a side thought but he focuses on wins big time.

Fascinating that we got eight runs on five hits and made two errors and they got one run on seven hits and made no errors
