vs
Max Scherzer, RHP, 10-5, 2.56 ERA, 216 K's Dave Martinez said Scherzer threw a bullpen on Tuesday and reported feeling good, setting up the right-hander to start Friday at home against Atlanta. Scherzer has been easing his way back to full strength after a back injury.

Kelsey Wingert @kelswingertof roster moves for the #Braves today: - Johan Camargo to 10-day IL with right shin fracture - Nick Markakis reinstated from IL - Touki Toussaint, Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright recalled from GwinnettPerfect. Camargo had turned things around and was swinging the bat real sweet, now it's going to be really tough for him to come back healthy and still swinging well when he gets back before the playoffs, if he does. With Riley, Duvall and Ortega struggling Johan was going to be a big help to us.
Why Touki is coming back is beyond me, he had a 7.49 ERA at Gwinnett, his last three starts he pitched a total of 10 innings combined and gave up 14 earned runs.

Yep. Losing Camargo is a pretty bad break. Maybe Duvall can help us, but I have zero faith in Riley and Ortega. Ender was playing his best ball when he went down, too. Touki just looks like one of those scrap heap player guys to me.

I'm not holding my breath with Duvall, the images of his season last year and the wretched August he just had for us are seared into my brain. He had a .503 OPS and struck in 23 of his 62 AB's last month. He's 3/7 in September with a double and HR, but that's a really small sample size. I imagine he'll get some chances now though to prove himself one way or the other.
