Read "A Brief History of Time", and I would like to say I understood it. I watched the movie about his life. That about sums it up.

It was a loss, but if you look into his life a bit deeper.. he was proven wrong a bit more
than you might imagine.
He was also a notorious bet loser..
Go google “Hawking loses bet”
One thing to note though about science... much is learned from every mistake.

Eh... just another thing he’s wrong about.
200 years from now my descendants will be taking DNA tests to prove
to the Global Universal Investigation Force that they are not related to me.
