Snit is not a good manager
He is a great manager -- you can say what you want about his moves from time to time but as for getting a clubhouse to play for him, never quitting, etc the results speak for itself
Guided the team from the middle of the rebuild, the scandal and with Alex sticking with him, Braves baseball is respectable and good again
Has also done a fine job letting the young guys be what they are and not tampered the enthusiasm
The veterans like Nick and Freddie had Snitker's back and the kids have following --
Had we not had the front office change Snit would have been gone.
I don't think the record would have been as good as its been the last yr and a half under the old regime and who knows who would be managing this team now.

I think scientists should study how you think.

Better than Frego and some others.
Could still be better. He still sticks to the old book a bit too much even when good sample size facts indicate otherwise. Sometimes a bit slow on the uptake and to take action: (Remembering how comfortable Acuña is at leadoff....remembering the plan to spell Neck)

Sometimes a bit slow on the uptake and to take action: (Remembering how comfortable Acuña is at leadoff....remembering the plan to spell Neck) He might not be the best technician in the world but as for strategy, history is full of moves that can be second guessed But big picture and getting the most out of his team while creating a positive playing environment is what I see as his best strength And he works fine with young players and has patience with these young pitchers - has weathered the ups and downs in his time here Remember the story when Hart came into the clubhouse to blast him out for using Jim Johnson in front of the players -- and Nick had his back on that one. That story came out at the end of the 17 season well after the fact. An old school manager in the Billy Martin, Leo Durocher would have had Hart on his ass. Snit conducted himself with class and that story just gave me a total respect for Snitker Can't think of a better manager for this group. He has grown well into the job Acuna is our leadoff guy now and it seems like he gets that And the old book - I am a traditionalist, I like the old book and scouting, using hunches, etc

Both!
But Snitker is a Hall of Fame cheerleader, I've acknowledged several times that matters quite a bit.
The other guy you asked about has absolutely no socially redeeming value.
Shaft all the way for that guy.

Pro's His players stick behind him He sticks behind his players and will get in an umpires face for them Con's Managing pitching especially bullpen management
Questionable Moves Bunting our way out of an inning (some have been reportedly on the hitters decision though) Playing our older guys too many games and not giving the youger guys enough at bats. Not playing Camargo our biggest complaint. Not starting Culberson in many games possibly paying off for his productivity. Batting order - This for me isn't that big, because he's willing to try something new for optimization, but the question was how much longer does he go until he finally gives in. Stealing bases - We're not attempting a ton of stolen bases but we're getting caught more than we should, I think.
